Attention Powerbot Users

Not sure if this is true or not, but heads up.
Just a fair warning. On another forum, this guy made a post claiming for powerbot users to beware. Here's the reason why.

I doubt this is real either. Highly unlikely a mod would know about it. (Correct me if I'm wrong about that being a mod)

you can also just deob the bot's jar file and open it to see if a virus bot is added to it, it should be quite obvious.

It says again, because there was a previous, "Hacking Massacre" people call it.
And I think it's a mod, it's kinda pixelated. And sure a mod could know it, he might be close with Paris. I'm sure he told some people.

I'm just putting this out there for people to see, so everyone doesn't flip shit and Paris can't blame other people for his wrong-doing.

Yeah, i'm not quite sure what you're talking about. And sometimes paranoia pays off. And after the first scandal with powerbot I'm not risking shit with them. Soon as I saw this, I deleted the client, be it true or not.

 

I know of the hacking. Rumored that arbiter did it, not Paris. That's what I'm getting at.

Exactly, it was Paris and Gh0st. Not arbiter. Paris just decided to point fingers and hope it didn't come back to him.

And I think you do need to update it to get keylogged, but don't you have to update to use it?

they cant just put something on your computer without you downloading their new infected file first. <--- HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION

and what I meant by deob and open their jar is that .JAR files are made in Java which means they can't be encrypted, they can only be obfuscated.
This means you can pretty easily deobfuscate them to see the java files inside.
within these files it should be pretty obvious if there's a virus in there, especially if you know anything about how to read java.

Either way, if you want to use Powerbot after April 5th, by all means go for it. I'm just giving a heads up. If you want to believe it or not, that's on you.

I had an account hacked on the 26th and I have the login screens for two dates, no keylogger found by kaspersky yet, Im not sure.

 

It's most probably happening soon from what I've heard because apparently stealthbot is coming back. It won't be paris that will be infecting it though.

 

Sucks that you all have to worry about this. I don't use any free bots so yea.
