    They're .gif files. If you want a Runescape or Dragon ball Z animated avatar you would simply google "Runescape.gif" or "Dragon ball Z.gif" in Google images then re-size it.

    If it's over 80x80 you need a mod to upload it for you, otherwise it auto resizes it.

    im still a little confused on how to do this

    ok i think i hgave managed to find a basic one and have copied you in the process however everything i find seems to be larger than 80x80 how do i resize

    Use programs like Ulead GIF Animator to turn scenes in various shows into .gifs
