    An 'Educate Yourself' section

Okay, So we all know we waste time on the internet at one point or another during our day, so I think there should be an 'Educate Yourself' section.

A section entirely devoted to interesting things that are happening today in the world.
I know people could just tell me watch the news or get a news paper, however I love being on Sythe and if this was added in it would make it a lot more interesting to be here .

This would benefit the community as a whole because you are making more people aware of what's going on in the world today which is always(in most cases) a good thing.

    Hey,

I understand what you're talking about, like a Moderator could post each day a thread, listing info from the news, and then people could discuss it in the thread, its an interesting idea, i would support it.

However, alot of up-to-date news, if need be.. will be posted here - http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=226
by any member of the forums, especially if its interesting.

Like to see where this goes.

Use the General/Off-topic section for this sort of stuff.

Yes, General Section is a good place however, I want to read a section that doesn't have Runescape Information or Justin Bieber videos in it.

However, if they make the news, then I guess that fits the criteria to be in the section .
If you look at the General Discussion/Off-Topic it has a bunch of threads about nothing that is really news related, I mean yeah
technically it's all "news" in the sense that it's new information I guess? but what two threads are the same.

I want the community to be able to go into a section and have a place to discuss things that are happening in the real-world , not the internet, unless it affects the real-world where it catches the medias attention.

Why don't you just make a thread in Off topic about a top headline or something?

How lazy are you that you want Globals/Admins to make a section for discussing news and updated daily by them?

Here's my suggestion: DO IT YOURSELF! I'm like 80% certain that the thread would just die anyway.

How would it die? A lot of people would show interest.
Also, it doesn't make me lazy for wanting to have a section that would get the Sythe community more involved.

PS: I DO look up the news myself hence why I want others to see what's going on as well. My intentions are good.

Not really important, people just go on to look to buy/sell things anyway.

Not really and even if, people do look in other sections anyways :)

I really do think this would be better for the community.
