Alienware Laptops

I see a lot of people posting here about what laptop to get to game around. If you have the money to buy overpriced pieces of hardware and you are ready to carry around its weight and become the next hunchback then do it but don't get Alienware
I've had the m17x and the newest 14 version and they turned out to be crap. All the dell laptops i've had seem to have issues with the battery and end up dying out in 1 - 2 years. You are paying mostly for the LED's. The keyboard is near impossible to clean and that's no good. Specs? well all gaming laptops are a scam and you should much rather get a desktop and a chromebook or whatever

I really regret spending over 3k in these 2 laptops and wish i had spent it in my desktop.

I personally DO NOT recommend anyone getting Alienware. save your money.

 

I mean why would you ever buy a laptop if you don't need mobility in the first place?

You're the only one I've heard make these claims though, afaik Dell laptops since they got off the stock market have been pretty good.

 

Alienware went downhill after Dell bought them out. They used to be amazing.

I personally used to own a pre-dell Alienware, and a buddy of mine purchased one after the acquisition.

Mine worked flawlessly, no issues at all for the years I used it. His..... Started having issues within a couple months.
