airport security

ok we've all been on a commercial jet...you know how much security you have to go through before you get on the plane...

the last time i was at the airport, my nine yr old sister was selected for a "random" extra security test (as in the wand thing).

In my opinion, if someone wanted to hijack a plane then they could do it. I'm not trying to say that i don't want any security at all, but certain measures they take to, "keep the honest people honest."
But what about that minority of people that would hijack a plane, blow it in half, etc. 9/11 for example.

9/11 was a huge lie but i don't want this to turn in to a 9/11 thread.

post thoughts about airport security...not the causes of 9/11 (theres already one of those)

 

Ahh yes airport security.

At the moment i am in Beijing, China.
coming from Australia.

firstly we went from Melbourne straight to Hong Kong, then Hong Kong
to Beijing.

to be honest. the security i went through. i probably could have blown up the plane. i brought my ipod touch and psp through the system. they could have easily been bombs. and what about the Duty-free places? omfg..
just planning a plane attack i think is still pretty simple. get the bomb in separate parts through duty-free. its crazy i think. and when i went through my security check in China.. Wow.... i think they dont even give a shit about weed going into the country.. there was no Drug checks at all. i was rofling.

 

Last time i was on a plane was 2006, i think, i flew from Edinburgh, (Scotland) to London Heathrow. Security was like every other airport, i think, had to take my jacket off, everything metal into the tray thing and i put my bag in there, but i don't think anyone was even watching the little screen!. Airport staff are more worried about long-haul flights, not short.

 

I think its abit over the top. I mean, I dont want to end up being analy frisked.

 

lol this security means nothing at all bombers arent stupid they got pat it plenty of times before what makes them think they wont again? They do the dumest things in airport security, i mean i could eaily bring a bomb in my toothpaste its all possible now.

 

i think most security measures they go through are unnecessary.
most of the people on the plane have to get where they're going and don't have time blow it up.

 

100ml. Of semtex that you have to taste. So thats you down to about 90ml. You can bring a max of 1lt but if must be in different containers. So no. No semtex toothpase.

It was insane after 9/11 in the u.s. I remember lines 200 people long because they did such a thorough job.
It's slackened up a little since then but I still believe it to be a bit much.

 

All you have to do is break the handle off a hand gun and stuff in your suit case. Even if there's a small chance the c-ray people would notice a normal gun, they'd think it was a... vibrator or something :/

 

But anyone would be shitting themselves. And if your dressed up like an arab you will instantly selected for a random anal cavite search.

And how come terrorists go for planes? Why not a cruise ship or sometihng that has 10 times more people?
