    Ahhh connection problems?

    Well now heres my situation....

I am good with computers, but not networking necessarily, what happens is my browsers, even runescape, will randomly go down and say I am not getting connection. But my MSN and AIM will keep connection? Every now and again everything will go out, but I can not figure out whats wrong....

Often also such thing like myspace notifications won't pick up when I visit my profile (where it tells you about your messages and stuff). I get a error saying it could not connect.

Missed packages? When an internet page comes up on your screen, it comes up in packages. If your connection is laggy enough, it can miss the package sent. The reason your MSN and AIM and such might not disconnect is because the jump is so slight.

Are you on dial-up? Or, move closer to the wireless receiver. That's all I can think of.
    Maybe change your internet provider.

    You mean packets, Tezlin...

It seems like your connection is poor, AIM and MSN probably fail as well when you can't get webpages up, but you stay logged in because it takes longer to timeout or something.

Same thing happens to me. I think its because you are too far away from the wireless router or the 2 signals are not sending you the packets well enough. try moving the signals around or staying closer to the router, that should do it.
