A Skylit Drive

As some of you probably know, post-hardcore is my favourite music genre. Anyway, have any of you heard of the post-hardcore band 'A Skylit Drive'? I believe they are rather unique and their one of my favourite bands. I prefer lyrics over instrumentals just if anyone was wondering .

Here are some of their songs, first song isn't really a favourite of mine but its one of their most popular ones. The last two songs are my favourites, all their songs aren't that long (unfortunately) so listen to them if you haven't heard of them .

A Skylit Drive is a good band overall, I like them. But screamo is my favorite genre, so some people may disagree with me.

The genre is bubble gum emo

You chew it up and when it instantly looses its flavor, you spit it out into the garbage

Don't you find it amusing when bands try to look 'cool' only to fail with retarded looks on their faces and haircuts that are a joke?

Apart from that, their music isn't what I'd call good. It just sounds like a copy of Hawthorne Heights, which is also a terrible band.

 

They are nothing like Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights screamer screams in the background and usually doesn't even scream a sentence, its just a random scream in the background. Well until he died anyway.

Hawthorne Heights does not have a high pitched voice, a skylit drive has had two singers, both with reasonably high pitched voices so they are clearly trying to go for that unique sound.

Hawthorne Heights has a completely different instrumental sound

Hawthorne Heights has way more singing than screaming

A Skylit Drive sings about medieval (or however its spelt) stuff. "Run for your life now can't you see your princess is gone" "Collide your sword with mine" etc etc.



I could go on but i think thats more than neccessary to prove they are nothing like a copy of Hawthorne Heights.

FIrst of all, I'm Australian - and the characters in my rank are Japanese. Did you know racism is against the rules? As for insulting you, not at all. I'm just saying what I honestly think - and if anything, you're making a pathetic attempt to insult me, which is also against the rules regardless of whether or not the user you're aiming what you say towards is moderator or not.

These threads never get deleted - only either locked or archived. As for creating a new topic, that is fine, but if you continue to make topics about the same things people will start to get annoyed.

I also suggest you listen to more bands and different genres of music if you are an absolute devotee to this particular one.

1) I've stated a few things that you disagree with, and that means I'm obsessed with arguing with you? Hardly.
2) "Good" is subjective to opinion - I personally think they sound dreadful.
