I was just thinking about the whole RWT situation, and I came up with this as a theory. Jagex obviously likes to take action against us RW Traders, but what if they were scaring us into ruining ourselves? What does that mean? Basically they put up this big front with all of this news of the trades no longer being able to have a 3k difference between values of each player involved in the trade, which invokes a huge massive unloading of everyones GP to get some RL money back out of the game before they put this into play. My thoughts are maybe, just maybe, they are bluffing, and in turn they are provoking everyone to sell as much as they can before the said date, and they will pick off and ban everyone that sells now, then in one of next months updates they will say something like, "Due to the recent overwhelming amount of RW Traders that we have banned, we have decided to keep the trade system as is for the time being, but RW Traders beware." Or something along those lines. Now this could just be a stretch, but who knows, I could just be paranoid, but I for one dont want to get caught in some trap/ploy Jagex has come up with to make RW Traders kill themselves. I want to hear your thoughts on possible reasons why this may or may not be the case. And, just to back this up with some actual facts, take a look at the recent bans that R2P is experiencing, along with some other sellers and you may see a pattern, and a pathway to my theory. Not saying dont trade with anyone, but take a look.
I doubt it, because rs was hit by many lawsuits about little kids using the parents cc's to purchase gold, i think that they are simply just trying to make room for mechscape
I don't think so. What would be the point? Jagex are unable to catch all RWT successfully, thats why they are implementing this update.

The point is I cannot see them destroying one of the biggest aspects of the game over this, but I can see them using it as a weapon to scare people, not unlike some of the governing powers if you ask me. If they do it in real life, whos to say they wont do it for a large online game where they act as the government?
Because they're allowed to act so. We pay for the game they provide us, we don't pay for what we want in the game. If they decide to make any changes, we will have to suffer. I think they will follow through with this. They really are being serious this time with their goal to stop all RWTs.
Fuck, I could care less what they do, as soon as they messed with pest control, thats when I stopped paying them, as you said, we pay for the game they provide us, therefore Jagex doesnt get my money any longer. Im just trying to open peoples eyes to something different, rather than the fact that everything they say is gospel and we must believe it. But as far as I see it, there is nothing to do that is "fun" in Runescape anymore, I havent played since they first started changing PC, so its no biggy to me.
