A fail RAM upgrade. -.-

OK, so my brothers laptop broke and it wasn't worth fixing so he got a new one so he gave it to me for parts and I took out the 4GB of RAM and was going to upgrade my Toshiba laptop. Spent like a hour trying to unscrew it as I couldn't find a correct screwdriver to open it. When I finally did I managed to take out the RAM and then another half hour to open up my laptop. When I finally did I went to put in the RAM and then noticed the RAM was the wrong type FU DDR2.

 

Well... just send it back and order the right RAM next time?

 

Clearly didn't read the OP but hey, thanks anyway for the input lol. The RAM was free but it was the damn time I spent trying to unscrew the screws with a hair pin lol.

 

Oh, right. Thought you said your brother had bought the RAM and given it to you.

Either way RAM isn't that expensive these days, aside from the DDR3 max BUS speed ones.

 

Its ok Laptop I still love you x Yea I plan on making a build soon when I sort myself out a bit.

 

Failure for not checking first kinda mate. especially when youre having issues with it. newegg has most ddr3 ram (8gb if your Mobo can handle it) for like under $45

 

DDR2 is fucking expensive as hell.

 

You might be able to sell that. I see that stuff selling for around $50 at stores
