These aren't safe at all unless they come with the original CD keys to the account. If Valve deems the account has been hacked and or bought, they will lock it, and you will NOT get it back unless you have the physical key to prove you are the owner.

(Half-Life 1, Half-Life 2, etc)

What are you talking about? If you do not have the original CD keys associated with the account, you will never get the account back if Valve decides to lock it. You NEED those keys so they can see you are the rightful "owner"

It's not a dispute wether the person selling them is legit or not. This is all Valve. If you do not have the first CD keys associated with the account, they are not safe.

I can vouch for what he's saying, I personally have made tickets for locked accs and they almost always ask for info to determine og owner and usually it's hl1. I've also recovered accs from non-og owners and so has other people on this forum and you can easily get the games people added removed so long as you have hl1 and know what acc it is.
