30 or 45?

Im making a turm pure, i currently have 30 def but should i get 45? I really cant decide

 

45 fully quested would be great, I'm going for one too

 

Yes 45 def quested turm pure is more fun and better =D

I would personally go for 40 defence. From 30 -> 40 defence you will have a lot of benefits such as:

• Barrow gloves
• Vengeance
• Rune defender
• Fighter torso

And many more.

However, from 40 to 45 defence your only advantage would be the fremmenik helms (+3 strength or +6 ranged/magic). And a hand cannon ofcourse, but considering your account is melee based and has 95 prayer, it's not really worth it to get defence levels for a hand cannon. Unless you are 60 attack.

I prefer 40 over any other defence level all day. My favourite level nowadays. In the past you had to get 20.000 defence xp from Monkey Madness. This was before turmoil / between a rock for a hand cannon being useful aswell. You would be at 42 defence after getting barrow gloves. After completing The Fremmenik Trials for vengeance and some possible screw ups you would be very close to 45 already. Most people would simply train to 45.

However, you can get turmoil + bgloves + vengeance at 40 defence nowadays because Jagex updated Monkey Madness. After people abused Evil Tree's to teleport to Monkey Madness - after completing it and without getting the xp reward - Jagex updated Daero a week later. Otherwise there would have been a small amount of people with the advantage of having rune gloves at 13 defence or barrow gloves at 35 defence, while others would have rune and barrows at 42 defence.

40 over 45. Difference between just ags or chaotics as well.

 

if you wan 30 then you just should've stayed at 20, 45 def is really nice to have since you can do more things with the armour you can buy.

 

Cant be 20 def with turm.

 

Yes, 45 but, quested. 30 doesn't really serve any purpose.
