2016 AFL Discussion Thread

A few American sports discussion threads out there, well here's one for the Australian's that follow AFL. Are there even any of you on Sythe? Interested to know

 

Yes, I follow the Adelaide Crows, losing Dangerfield is annoying. I think the team started to rely on him to much anyway. Still think that the Crows will finish well this year with our forward line.

 

HUGE loss of Dangerfield, especially considering I think last year was his best to date (thoughts?). But yeah, I think the Crows will go ok - middle of the table, hopefully top 8, nothing to dislike about the Crows (unlike Port Adelaide).

 

Other than Taylor Walker. Surely the Dockers can have a final go at the flag

 

I can not stand the dockers. Ross Lyon has got to be one of the worst coaches in the AFL. Refuses to promote promising youth. Also, Matthew Pavlich desperately needs to leave... He is well and truly past his expiry date IMO.

 

I would like Pavlich to leave but m-muh history!!! He's probably going to waddle around on the field doing absolutely nothing again this year. Why can't you stand the dockers? Just because of Ross "the boss" Lyon?

 

The crows gave up Pavlich for Kenny McGregor, jesus. That still depresses me.

 

I only follow American Sports, haven't touched anything else.

 

I follow the AFL, albeit nowhere near as religiously as I used too. I'm a Swans fans, and after all the hype over Buddy last year, I'm pretty disappointed with how we finished up.

 

Preach it. So so so true.
Yeah can't stand Ross Lyon and the hype surrounding the Dockers.... When it comes down to it, they've just got nothing.

 

Fremantle were rude to Andrew McLeoud so he chose to go to Adelaide instead.............LOLLLLLL

I don't follow it as religiously as I used too either. I don't have the passion for my team as much anymore, I'm just an avid Fantasy player! But yeah, unfortunate for Sydney, hopefully Buddy gets himself mentally back on track this year.

 

Other than the best player in the competition?

That's a good point. For years we've struggled to finish games.

I've never followed the fantasy league - I can't keep up to date with the stats enough to thoroughly enjoy it.
