I'm exactly the same as you. and I mean exactly. I'm in my a-levels aswell and this game is persistently fucking me over :/.

 

Quiting EoC is easy. Its a ruined game nowadays. To many attempts to make it better have buried it. Play 07 for a little while and you'll see how easy it is to quit EoC..

 

the day NIS was released i never really played EoC properly again, and don't really play 07 either.
All i do now is make money off of RS, currently make more than i would if i had a minimum wage job.

 

Doesn't matter what grades you have cause it all depends where you live, what parents you have.

 

I feel like I didn't waste any time on this game. I enjoyed it, it didn't cost me my grades and in the end I was making more flowering then I would at any job at the age of 16-17. Now with University and Eoc it wasn't hard to say goodbye to Runescape.

 

It is okay to play RuneScape. (Or any video game on that matter) just play in moderation. What are you taking in University by the way?

It's a lot easier to quite when you don't have an account, sell it or get it banned.

 

I left in late 2010. Haven't had any motivation or need to go back. If RS 2007 was made free then I may consider going back for a little while.

I sold my main account. I just want to play 07 scape now You could truly quit if you sell your account, in my opinion.

 

I just naturally lost the will to play the game. I like doing things that will improve my life and that sort of thing. RuneScape use to be fun but I guess I grew out of it. It's been yeeeeeeeeeeaaaars since I last logged in and I have no intentions whatsoever to get back into it. Online games waste too much time and I prefer being productive with my time now. I did make a lot of money off the game baack then when I was young though so I don't entirely regret my time playing the game. I'm actually glad I found RuneScape haahahahaha

 

Back in 2011 I would have said no, but eoc and Jagex's bullshit has made it impossible to play rather than impossible to quit.

 

Lol'd. Smashing sloots may be enjoyable, but I wouldn't say it's productive. Okay maybe reproductive . Terrible joke I know.

I get what you're saying man, Runescape made me do a lot of questionable things in real life, like skipping potentially very fun things.

I've since learned to play it in moderation, and now it's gotten to the point I play less than half an hour a week.

Yes its possible to quit, just think of all the reasons why you shouldn't be playing.

 

Just play seldom, have self-control no reason to allow it affect your IRL. This goes with all activities you enjoy, just like partying etc.

 

Yes. I quit in 2007 (before the wilderness/FT was removed). I did however come back during 2011 to stake and make some money. I haven't played since.

I guess it's down to how much you enjoy the game. If you enjoy it and still find it entertaining quitting won't be that easy. I found it easy to quit as I got no joy out of playing, and lost interest in it. Essentially I wouldn't even call it quitting, as that sounds like you don't want to, but are doing it for your betterment; I simply stopped playing.

Weigh out the options here. Do you really think you should let Runescape impact your A-level grades which ultimately deduce which University you will go to, and in some cases your career path? If you don't value education and or see no need for University, then it's your decision. Everything in balance remember.

 

Game isn't even fun anymore. Idk maybe I just grew out of it, but I haven't really played since middle school and I am first year in college now.

 

This is somewhat inspiration to get off my damn computer right now. Thank you.
