Yeah, he's already done the 6 month restore thing, It should technically work, but if it doesn't he's either gunna have to reinstall his OS, take it in to a professional computer repair or buckle down and get a new computer. Only things I can think of :/ Sorry this happened to you Dylan.

All the symptoms point to a Trojan, not keylogger, if it was undetectable by both a av scan and a malware scan....I've advised this user to do a system restore and if problems exist to reinstall his OS
