Nobody will tell you what they flip personally if they're making good money off them, but you can probably pretty easily do some flipping with common items like people have suggested. Barrows, rings, cheap godswords, furys, whips, etc

Between the two, I'd say zerker. Zerkers are more fun pking IMO, but range tanks are better at PvM. Now my honest opinion, reading that you've always been a 1 def guy, you might just want to stay 1 def. I've always been a 1 def guy too, and I've tried making zerks, and I always get bored of...

There aren't too many decent cannon spots for pures, so rock crabs are honestly not a bad spot, especially with 41 range. I still wouldn't do it there, but it's better than nothing.
