Hmm, gotta disagree. The use cases for angular alone are out of scope for a complete beginner. There's a huge difference between using ng-repeat and fully understanding when and why you would want to use angular.

You don't really wanna be building a live chat with php/ajax + you'll be paying for hosting. Two good choices - socket.io or some live chat company that you just embed a script and they handle the rest.
