Couldn't you start the download process, find out where the files are downloaded to and then backup YOUR original files on to a cd/flash drive and copy it across to his/her computer?

what is the condition of CD2? did ypu check it for scratches? (yes i know its very unlikely a game such as GW would be re-sold but its happened to me with HL2/CSS) also, try running a program that checks each data segment on the cd, never personally used one before but i believe nero have one...

Yeah, as cool said for the 2nd one, you should have a cd which contains the driver which came with the sound card/mobo. if you don't try googling the model # and brand or check the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.
