Any way you cold implement a way to pay the buy-in fee with PayPal? By the way, I think you should spread the word about this competition a bit more before effectively starting the competition (maybe only start the competition one or two days after starting getting the buy-in fees). Also, if the three judges are offline when we want to get the buy-in, the competitor is going to lose time on the competition, making it a bit more unfair than the ideal.

BTW, in which timezone will the competition days start/end?

 

Actually, if you know you're going to buy in for a fact there is no reason for you not to get started on the current competition. However, I many people have come to me saying that I should delay this until next week so everyone can have time to prepare. You can still buy in!

When you discussed this I thought you agreed that was I said was valid - That having a buy-in is a bad idea since several people will not have the entry fee/be discouraged from participating since some reputable graphics artists are participating.

If you are wanting a pot for the winner but don't want to front the bill you should contact some gold sellers. Another possible reward would be a temporary mini-rank that is like a month long after winning it or something.

I would participate but I am discouraged from entry AND do not have the required buy-in.

Lots of people have told you that the buy-in is a bad idea &/or simply stated they don't have the means to buy-in. Surely that should hint at you removing the buy-in?

 

Yup, just wanted to give it some extra time in case we had any stragglers, no buy-ins now EVERYONE IS FREE TO ENTER IN ALL COMPETITIONS! ~Effective immediately.

 

That's more like it, now that the buy-in is gone I'm sure you'll get more people wanting to compete, including myself.
