Re: Pokemmo on front page?

I'm really curious as to why pokemmo is featured on the front page where sections such as xbox, WoW, and LoL are hidden away as subsections. I remember somebody said if a game has a lot of traffic and is being frequently discussed it will have a section made but I'm pretty sure most of us have hardly heard a thing about pokemmo. I'm not sure if its intended or not but there's a lot more active sections which should be moved out of other games if pokemmo will remain out of the subsection. I mean hardly any people even voted in the poll and not even 2 pages of discussion before the section hit the front page.

 

Eh, its not too bad actually. It's quite far down. I first thought it was above LoL/WoW, etc.

 

There are games that would bring so much more traffic, such as LoL or something along those lines. PokeMMO doesn't even deserve a section to itself. A sticky in the handheld section could easily handle pokemon discussion.


If we are getting sections that are going to get no traffic can I have a chess section?

 

You'd probably have to take it up with n4n0. But I think you make a valid point, there are definitely more deserving sections to be frontpaged, either move pokemmo to a different section or bring some more-trafficked sections to the front

 

It doesn't in the slightest get in the way.

 

I honestly think that once it has been there for a little while that a lot of people will play it, pokemon is still a very active game.

 

It was probably front paged due to the fact that there are quite a bit of Pokemon fans on Sythe. As for the Poll remark, I made that poll After two pages had been discussed and about 10 minutes before Richard Approved it, otherwise there probably would have been more votes.... But, I agreed that having just a sub-section for it would be fine, but if Richard or n4n0 want it front paged I'm not going to complain..

What on earth are you even talking about?? The PokeMMO section is lower down on the list than all of those sections you named...

 

No it isn't. They are hidden in the Other Games Discussion which makes them not even on the index.

Lol, I honestly don't care if its on the front page or not, and I'm the guy that suggested it. So what if you have to do a few more clicks, if n4n0 wants to change it to make you guys happy though I have no objection, I personally don't care where it is.

E: Like I said, I approved the idea of it having a sub-section, but I guess higher management had better plans with it.

Before that stupid pokemon trainer minirank was created, there was hardly any mention of pokemon anywhere on Sythe. There are "quite a bit of Pokemon fans on Sythe" because there are quite a bit of people that want a free rank. When N4N0 made that thread in the SF, people instantly changed their ava,sig,ui to something pokemon related and tried to act like they were zealous about Pokemon. Before that thread, maybe there was a maximum of 10 people, if that, who talked about Pokemon on here?

I mean fuck, I'm pretty sure we used to watch Digimon, which was basically the same thing and around at the same time as Pokemon--why not create a Digimon section and create a Digimon mini-rank then?

 

Because there isn't a super awesome DigimonMMO, as far as I know anyways..

I use to watch both the shows when I was growing up, but I'm pretty sure Pokemon was more popular (Don't quote me on that)

 

Looks like those mini ranks also caused around 36 people (Possibly less if looked at twice) to decide they wanna play the game as well. I do not understand the big deal over this, do you play every single game that is listed here at Sythe? I highly doubt it, so don't make such a huge deal over it, simply forget its even there.

Or like Video already said, take your argument to n4n0 and see what he thinks, I have no objection to having it moved, but there is no need for this much fuss over it

This is very possible, not going to lie. But obviously Sythe wants to give it a chance, the way I see it is a dead section is a dead section. If it doesn't start drawing in attention or users stop posting there, you would have my full support to take it down.

 

I personally couldnt give a fuck about this. It just annoys me when moderators out of the air, create sections/miniranks that are only beneficial to them or a minority of people on this site (their friends). However, when an ordinary member tries to suggest adding a new game section for instance, it takes WEEKS of debating and arguing and then finally gets denied 90% of the time.

But I'm getting way off-topic so I'll stop participating on this thread.

 

Hey it's kind of cool, I just saw it and joined and me and my girlfriend started playing tonight and it's just because of seeing that section It's a fun game and it's amazing how it's exactly what it used to be, with players it's perfect

 

I'm glad Sythe gave the game a chance, why does it bother you so much? Its not a big deal at all, its a nice game and i'm sure people will start playing it more frequently.

 

bring LoL to the front at least. c'mon son

 

Its not about how far down it is, its about the fact that it was given its own section with little traffic displayed and there are so many other sections hidden in the other games section which should have remained on the front page. Whether its at the bottom or the top its still on the front page and hasn't displayed it has enough traffic here to be made a section.

 

It was brought to the front because that's where Sythe wanted it. If you want further restructuring done, then make a suggestion.
