High Pardon Request - Semper

Hello Sythe Staff and Community. I've been sitting on writing this for a while now, but I've finally cleared my head enough to understand what I'd like to say and how I'd like to bring this out.

The quote above is correct. However, it's obviously not detailed enough as to what happened. Before I fully continue into what I did, I'd like to add that although stated in my ban reason, I never once scammed anyone. I will take the blame for the Social Engineering, however I never scammed. Yes, they may be the same thing, but just wanted to make it clear that I never scammed, or ever will.


As for my story. What happened was back in January of 2012, I sold a RS account to itriedii (Anthony). Up until I joined Sythe in August 2011, one of my IRL friends and I had shared that RS account. A few months after I had sold that RS account, that friend was pestering me into giving him the details to recover. I kept saying no, and telling him that I had no interest in recovering an account that I had sold. Eventually, he kept asking, and me being stupid, gave him the 5 old recoveries (the ones being on the account when I sold it), and the creation date. However, with the new recovery system Jagex implemented, you couldn't manually recover the account at the time. So what happened next was my friend had performed a mini-dox on Anthony, and asked me if I had a throwaway facebook account. I recalled making a facebook to troll a IRL person, so I let my friend use that account. He managed to get the recovery phrase to Anthony's MSN, and he recovered the MSN. My friend then told me to log onto a RS account that he had recovered using Anthony's MSN, and I stupidly agreed, thus showing the last logged IP to be mine. Note that NOTHING was touched, and if there are any claims with accurate proof, I will be more than happy to refund Anthony, and further compensate him for any troubles. And regarding my IRL friend, I know there is no way to prove that he exists, and I KNOW that I was a part of the whole Social Engineering and hacking part, so I am taking the full blame on everything that happened.


I'd like to say. That I know most pardons end off with, I've changed. I know what I've done wrong, and I'm sorry. I'd like to say that I know very well that I was I did was cruel, stupid, immature, and wrong. I know the fault is all mine, but there was some influences in my life that acted as a part of my conscience and pushed me towards making the wrong decisions. I'm sorry for what I did, I also deeply regret it. I really am sorry.

Lastly, I'd like to add this. This part is what makes me most uncomfortable because I put a close friend of mine through this but I knew a week prior to my ban that it was coming. Dave(BSGPSeller) was the user who submitted the report to my ban. The evidence was obviously given to Dave by Anthony, since he was the MM for when I sold Anthony an account. However, without Dave, the report wouldn't have been conclusive. Dave informed me in advance that my ban was coming, and he tried to convince me to pardon. I should have known to pardon when it all happened, but with my life turning into a full sprint of work and school, I hadn't had much time for Sythe in general. I didn't have the time, and everyone who knew me personally could attest to my activity heavily dropping in the past few months. I only really got on to post once or twice in the spam forum/community general and that was all, then back to school and work. In that one week, I didn't scam nor did I think of scamming anyone. Dave knows that I'm apologetic for putting him in such a weird situation, but Dave I want to thank you for handling the situation the way you did. You didn't have to submit the report to Upper Staff, but you did, because you're a good friend. You gave me a chance, Dave, and now I'm just hoping that I can prove that I deserve a second one on Sythe. I accept any decision Staff may come to, whether it be a veto, denied, TwC, Market Ban, or whatever. I respect your decision, and hope you guys will allow me a second chance on Sythe.
