Disputing an unjust ban.

DinaH here. I was recently banned, accused of at one point sharing the IP of a another user 'Mortar'; the thread being found here: http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer-archive/1797095-dinah.html

I was incredibly shocked to have attempted to log in and be met with this because it simply isn't true. Firstly, I would like to refute it on the grounds that this apparent IP is traced to an area in the UK called Lewes and I honestly don't know where this is. I have never been there and can provide evidence that I don't live there, while I do live in the UK, to any mod or admin.

Secondly, I want to suggest that a cross IP may have existed because I have recently been using a service by BT called BT Fon. Essentially, it allows you to pay and use the internet through hotspots, of which the company owns millions of, throughout the UK. I had been using this due to being away from home at points and my internet being incredibly dysfunctional while residing at my home address. Seeing as this service is used by hundreds of thousands of people to connect to the internet, it doesn't suprise me that someone else may have done so.

Thirdly I would like to point out that yes I do have an older Sythe account, as I have alluded to in the SF, but it is not a banned account. It is 'Season.' and the only reason I created a new account when returning to sythe in September was due to losing my access to my old account as a result of it being linked with a very old email of mine, one which I have lost access to.

Seeing as I have in the past used this unbanned account and now DinaH, I see no reason why I would have created another account named Mortar or whatever and used it to do whatever that account is banned for. On my current account DinaH alone, I have gained over 30 vouches in a few months and have demonstrated myself to be a trustworthy member of the marketplace, never scamming or attempting to scam despite having been scammed myself here on multiple occasions.

I look forward to hearing your response as this ban was both unwarranted and based on false information.

Seems like this could be true. IP match is from a range, not 100% home IP.

Will grab second opinion and then get back to you.
