I'm just going to forfeit because me and ausaz are exact opposite timezones making it impossible for us to play with our schedules. Johnk you run tournaments well but maybe try and find a program to match up matches based on timezones because it would help alot in future tournaments. Edit: I'm also wondering, what happens to banned/temporarily banned users in the tournament?

 

For the most part, they've been removed from the tournament, with a few exceptions. I'm curious too, given that one of the people in the finals is now banned

 

I'm pretty sure that the exceptions were requested bans (Black Tux & Snow Patrol). Meanwhile, teh_rs_king was dropped when he was banned, despite his ban being out of his control (paypal) and something that he is actively trying to fix.

I'm content with either option, but I don't know if an exception should be made just because who someone is or where they are in the tournament, especially with of the circumstances of this ban. I've played blade bro outside of the tournament and he seemed like a decent guy, but that shouldn't really matter. My personal interest is probably too great here though for my opinion to hold much weight so I'm not going to say what I think should be done and just state what I know.

It would be easy enough to fix the situation in terms of payouts by dropping him to 17th place and bumping up everyone else in his bracket by a slot. Or one could just say he was eliminated last round (by video? or whatever blade's last game was) and take it from there.

Edit: teh_rs_king even donated to the prize pool.

 

Blade has been temped only, so I think he can continue.
He only neeeds to communicate with his opponents over MSN/Skype.

Unless there is a certain rule about this.

Doesn't a ban from the site include bans from on-site activities too? teh_rs_king will be returning to Sythe as soon his paypal issues are sorted out, but he was removed from the tournament anyway.

I'm gonna PM JohnK now asking him to make a clear decision on this.

Since Blade is out (http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1237889), I suggest that the prize that was for 4th place either be added to first place or given to the semifinalists from the other side of the bracket who will have to win that extra game to make it to the finals.

With blade bro4 gone I've decided to give his round 1 win to the_dealer. So it's as if blade bro4 lost his round 1 match. It's the only fair way I can see going about this.

This means: the_dealer will be playing Life of Sin in round 2, the winner of that will be playing malakadang in round 3 and the winner of that round will be playing video in round 4.

Sorry for the delay and my neglect to the tournament over the last couple days, been a little unwell - I will update the tournament board and everything else tomorrow morning after a nights rest.
