Hey everyone,
As you may or may not know, Sythe is now in it's 10th year as of April 21st. What started as a simple forum site has, through the years of changes, turned in to one of - if not the - most popular black market forum of it's kind. Have a look for yourself at how it's changed here.
Without you, the community, this wouldn't have been possible and for that, a big thank you is in order. Therefore; anyone who is seen posting on Sythe's birthday will receive the 10th Anniversary Minirank. Congrats!
If you want to top your miniranks up with yet another of your choosing; then simply post a birthday card from you to Sythe.org in the comments below! Digital or IRL cards accepted. You have until the 25th and we'll choose the best for prizes
Now some words from the director himself, Sythe:
When asked to reflect on their time on Sythe, the most notable answer from Sythe staff was, admittedly biased; as how staffing has affected the site is one of the strongest attributes to Sythe's success. As Time To Buy puts it, "Staff have become much more open with how things are working over the years". Summed up subsequently by R2Pleasent perfectly, "I appreciate in sythe.org vs. other similar sites is the staff team and overall site regulation. I think that's been an integral part of the site's success through the years".
Another large part of Sythe's day-to-day is the pardon system. Where permanently banned members can appeal to return to the site. It's the strict requirements and process that's integral to up-keeping a certain caliber of user. video puts it nicely, "Regardless of what its original intent was, the pardon system has allowed many members who were banned but have since had a change in character to return to sythe. The system has also facilitated the repayment of scammed funds to victims who never thought they'd see their money ever again".
Sythe in many ways can affect our IRL lives too. Shin says, "Sythe has helped me grow as an individual overall and allowed me to have opportunities I may not otherwise have". Sellerman says, "In short, everything pertaining to online trades (E-bay/PA/payment methods/trading safety etc) I've learnt from and off Sythe. I have an extensive knowledge in all things black-market per se, which without Sythe would never have happened. So, I guess, it's changed how I fundamentally view things regarding online trading. Its lead me to be far more pragmatic in thought and vigilant".
Cas_M looks to the future with optimism. "I see Sythe going places. It's amazing to see the admin team work hard to try and fix the most difficult problems that every major market website is facing. I'm excited to see what's next. If anything, it's going to be great!". While R2Pleasent looks back with thanks. "I've made millions of dollars of trades through Sythe and interacted with thousands of members here on a personal and business level.
What most people don't realize is that the majority of this community are good, honest people".
One of the staff's favourite characters seems to be FireZ and not surprisingly, either. The man's a bit of a staff relic, tough and blunt in action and the infamous banhammer..er. Sellerman describes him "The way he carries himself, his persona, his attitude and his work ethic has been the exact same from when I joined, up till now. - Which is a good thing". Entrr adding "He brings a lot to the moderating table with his experience. He definitely keeps the people who try and stretch the truth about their pasts in pardons on their heels". FireZ prefers Syed himself, "his responses are just hilarious and off the wall, often cracking me up".
Looking to the future, Superfluous says " I hope it [the site] grows to encompass new and popular markets because I feel like the website is very well run and maintained, and the community is vibrant compared to similar sites. I don't see an end to Sythe's run any time soon".
I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you to Richard and all the past, present and future staff who make visiting this unique community what it is.

Now some words from the director himself, Sythe:
We've had a good 10 years with some ups and downs. Some years were better than others. We've all learnt a lot getting where we are today, and now in 2015 we're more focused than ever on continuing to provide a stable and secure virtual goods trade centre and a vibrant community around it. I fully expect 10 years from now the same will still be true.
