SytheMonthly - July Edition

I thought MotM was better when it was separate from SytheMonthly, and had it's own thread.

 

There weren't enough people voting for it to be worth our while. Then people voted in a majority that they'd rather we just chose or selected a few people to be in a poll.

 

because it was the same market fags over and over again... thats why we stopped caring.

The market fags are often the ones that contribute to the community the most.

 

not even the slightest... i could go dig up the last 3 motm and i garunteeeeeee you they have hardly any contributation to the community besides postcount farming.

 

Lol lets use Chloecat for an example. Now I know this may be hard for you to believe since you are so close-minded but she actually does help the community. Not only is she a major impact on the market but also in the Support Sections and is now a CDT member.

also you just proved my point, i could pick out quite a few non-well known members that would be far better examples of motm, yet you kids only seem to vote for the i guess you would say the popular ones.
which is why alot of people stopped caring its the same 5 or 6 people every month. yet none of them have really done anything for the community besides post whoring in a few section

 

I really do not care if you have not seen her anywhere bud :/ They wouldn't promote her to CDT if she was not a positive influence on the community. -.-
Edit: Voting for the popular members? Chloe is probably one of the most hated users (in the spam forum) on Sythe at the moment.

 

I personally would like to see the continuation of the MoTM, I have to agree to disagree with Delta, at first it was a popularity contest, and then it became more orientated on "Who's doing the right thing" which is good.

@Roary, I assume you guys had candidates for the July edition, maybe you could release those?

July was solely done by Wulfspade1. So if he had any nominees chosen, it is news to me.

Edit: We had a brief thread on it in the CDT section but everyone came to the consensus that it would be a waste of time as it was constantly the same users on everyones suggestion list.

 

Actually, there was a thread in the Community Development forum for nominees for July. But, they decided to skip this month and do it next month, I think.

 

even i was on the CDT john >.> and im pegged as someone who doesnt give two shits and a rainbow. hell i was even ogv aswell so the whole wouldnt be on cdt blah blah crap is bogus.

and no one cares about sf it doesnt carry outside of that area and spill over in the other sections

 

Good job Wulfspade, was a fun read I wasn't too keen on your "brother" (the concept is very overused in popular culture) but I enjoyed the pictures despite having not played RS in nearly 2 years.


I would also like to see MotM return as a separate thing from this - Just my opinion

I don't see why we can't still have MOTM, we pick members out of the community who have contributed a lot that month in our eyes and I feel they deserve that MOTM title for their hard work and efforts, I feel the community still cares and would enjoy earning that title.

Because I put a thread out, people vote for apparently "popular" members. So we stop, and start putting a poll up. Then, every month people (CDT) nominate the same people all the time and I get no decent reasoning or feedback. So I just stopped caring. There's nothing stopping anyone else running it or trying something, but I'm out of ideas for it to be revived.
