Livehelp fail

Well, the whole livehelp thing is nice.......when its online. i feel that the live help is not on as much as it should be. Maybe the staff should work out some time slots so there is always at least one person in the live help.

 

Yes, they're only on at night for me. You have to remember that the mods are busy all the time but they try to be on as much as they can. When they are on I do find the chats to be very good.

 

As far as I can tell livehelp is on whenever a mod is online. If most of the mods live in the US, then Livehelp will most often be available during that time

And I've been trying to get on it more recently. Playing Total War in windowed mode and having LiveHelp open on the other screen. D:

 

You have to understand that we're not paid workers who punch in and punch out. We get on when we can.

I wish more of the staff had the go-getter attitude you have when it comes to live help. Unfortunately it is pretty apparent that aside from the few regular mods who use it, no one else cares. I see the same people running it time and time again. I think it would be beneficial for everyone if more of the staff actively participated.

live help is a nice tool, but its not the only way to get your question sovled, you have a full website full of helperful members/staff

 

This has already been thoroughly discussed. If you need help and live help isn't on, simply pm a mod.

 

It's just a feature if it were on all the time, people would abuse it.

 

No, people wouldn't abuse it. It's just that mods have lives too. They already do a lot for the community and this is an additional, optional way to help out.

 

It's not required to be on live help I do agree it is nice to see a mod on but usually if you need help mods will get back to a pm fairly quickly. Working a schedule out would be hard and I personally would prefer to use my time on Sythe to clean up the spam and scam reports rather than be on live chat, also there's several sections you can request help in and there are good community members who will help you out with your problems.

 

We have very few staff that can be active during roughly the hours of 10am-5pm GMT and that's unavoidable. Our staff members are (mostly) located in the United Kingdom (GMT), United States/Canada (GMT+5-8), Australia (GMT+10) and New Zealand (GMT+12). This caters mainly for the hours in which we notice a 'surge' of activity, but as you've all noticed, we can't be there for every little thing that may happen. Many of us have busy schedules, whether they revolve around work, school or even just having a social life. At the end of the day, we are volunteers.

Personally, I've noticed that the live chat has been very active and has a really impressive uptime considering the aforementioned circumstances. If you have an urgent matter that needs taking care of, the PM system is at your disposal for a good reason.
