RSMALLS wants a picture of me holding up my ID

Good morning, new user here - hope I'm in the right place.

I recently purchased RS gold from Rsmalls and the first transaction went smoothly, wanted to buy more and suddenly I'm being asked a tonne of verification questions, the final one being a picture of me holding up my ID.

I know people have asked about I'D verification before but is the picture of oneself new? Would be keen to hear what you guys have to say,

You may have exceeded an automated limit on their website which now requires extra verification. Are you making a larger order this time?

 

what @Folt said, most gold selling sites require customers to provide ID verification if an order is bigger than a certain amount.
