MiniRank price thread

Because it doesn't? There's too many mini ranks and they aren't traded as often as one specific item like @Superfluous was saying such as gold is. You can't go through the marketplace thread and see how much a not so common mini rank is generally sold for. Prices are always discussed via Skype or PM. You're not understanding the point of this guide. It's to help draw in more traders and help people out with what to expect. The point of it isn't to set stone prices on miniranks.

 

By making a price listing, you're essentially dictating prices as I've already explained. Let the market do this on it's own, as it was done in other markets.

 

Dictating prices would be posting a price that you believe the minirank is worth. Creating a guide of past trades or a log of some sort is by no means dictating prices my man.

 

You're decisively affecting the price of miniranks this way.

 

Not sure you're aware of what Decisively means.
Decisively - Having the power or quality of deciding.
Wouldn't be "deciding" anything man.

 

Let me replace the word with a synonymous word so you understand better. You're definitely affecting the prices of miniranks this way.

 

I don't support an official minirank price thread; however, I am fine with a community made one.

It is a pain and imo very ineffective. Miniranks have no inherent value and its value is determined by the individual who desires the rank. With this in mind, the cost of miniranks can vary drastically from purchase-to-purchase. An official thread would also provide this concept that there are set prices by the Sythe staff and would be regulating the mini rank market which I do not think Sythe should do.

So yeah, no support; but if you want one, make it yourself or with some friends and I am sure people will use it.

 

I could support this, as someone who likes to collect miniranks them self.

 

Mixed feelings about this. It makes it easier to pricecheck miniranks, as right now miniranks have a set price usually aswell - the prices just vary when someone doesn't do any research for how much a minirank has previously been sold. However a set thread for this would be too easy and it would give them a more steady price, which I dislike. No support for now.

An "Average Minirank Sale Price Thread" that documented legit minirank trades could be useful. There should be no set price for a minirank.

 

I've enquired about a few today as I was interested, but I felt the people I asked were probably some of the biggest merchers on here and wanted to sell ranks for outrageous amounts.

Hey Guys , Accs4Rs Here I've Read Through The Posts By Everyone And Honestly A lot Of People Make Really Solid And Valid Arguments. That Being Said I Think The Main Two Problems Are This.

1. Older Sythe Members/Donors And Merchers In General Don't Want This Because It would "Set" The Price And Make It Harder To Merch And/Or Make Profit From Selling/Buying Mini-Ranks.

2. New Players Not Wanting To Get Scammed/Over Pay For Mini Rank Prices.

So With All That Being Said Not Sure If You Care But I thought Id Share My Thoughts So Here Goes..
Here's My Thoughts, Being Recently New To Sythe As Well I will Admit It Was A Bit Of A Struggle Trying To And Find Out Peoples Average Buy/Sell Price Even After Searching Through Numerous Threads/Posts.
That Being Said I Also Agree With A lot Of The Older Donors/Merchers And Mini-Rank Sellers In General. Being An Avid Mercher On Oldschool , Trust Me When I say Nothing Makes My Heart Race More Seeing A "Steal Of A Deal" That I Know I Can Make Profit Off, And Lets Face It Whether You Think That's Shady/Dishonest Or Whatever It May Be, Sadly That's Just Supply And Demand 101, If Someone Wants Something Bad Enough They Will Pay More For It. Leading On To My Next Point My Solution.

Solution: As Its Been Thrown Around Here I Think We SHOULD Create This Thread, However I Think As Some People Have Also Mentioned This Should Be COMMUNITY BASED And NOT Made By Admins, Although there input like everyone else would be welcome. I Also Believe This Shouldn't Be A Set In Stone Based Price Thread, It Should Have An Average Price. For Example: Heidy 4M-10M (Not Sure On Price Right Now Just An Example.)
Updates And Input from Everyone Would Be Welcome To Help Try And Keep It Somewhat Current. As For People Saying The Price Would Stay The Same If We Did This, I Believe Otherwise.
If You Think Of Runescape And The Grand exchange The Reason Prices Go Up And Down Is Supply And Demand, For Example: If Someone Had A Super Rare Mini That Only 3 People Had And Kept It Off The Market For A While, The Price Would Go Up And Vice-Versa If People Flooded The Market The Price Would Go Down. Just Like If Someone Did This With A 3rd Age Long Sword In Runescape.

So If You've read This Far, Feel Free To Post And Let me know Your Thoughts On This Solution As I Honestly Think This Would Be Very Helpful To New players And Would Still Allow People To Merch/Flip Mini-Ranks.
