Hardly. That's propaganda. They just got Asian investors. These investors may or may not take a push into the company.

 

Says arrangements for a potential acquisition. If it does go through should be interesting.

 

Whenever Asian investors are involved things go South in terms of video games. Why? Because they only care for profitability, and they're completely right in doing so because business is business.

 

Yeah if the Chinese take over I wonder what'll happen to rwt. Also, the MTX will be annoying as fuck.

I remember shortly before squeal of fortune came out, 55% or so of JaGeX's shares were owned by a chinese investing company. So using past knowledge, look for more microtransactions

Like I said before this game will be dead within 10 years. Future is mobile gaming the next generation of kids aren't growing up going to miniclip and seeing Runescape as the #1 mmo on the top right corner anymore. I have so many little cousins who were the same age I was when I started playing and if I asked them if they ever heard of Runescape they would go "nope". I never see kids at the library eager to play to this game anymore either.

 

Yeah, that's true. When I was in primary school (around 8 years old) all the boys in my class knew about Runescape, all of us had tried it and about half of us continued to play for a year or two before moving onto consoles. Runescape just doesn't have that sort of popularity anymore. So, as you said, RS will die in the next decade or so. It's growth will come to a halt soon.

The company didn't buy jagex just yet but I have a feeling that Jagex is gonna sell it since Runescape is going down currently

It's going to be a buyers market here on Scythe. I can see hundreds of accounts in the for sale section. It could very well be all over.
