Never said it is public information or you should say that to them. I said there were ways to buy 99s before. This is just a different approach and Jagex is doing it this time instead of a player using the black market.

Although microtransactions that give players an advantage over others are simply bad for gameplay, the damage is reduced by making the rewards lamps and untradeable.

Main problem with officially adding gambling features like this is that it makes the game feel seedy. That's not to say that things like dicing didn't already do that to an extent.

I only read the first page, so I'm unsure if this has already been said, but look at all the "Runescape commentators" who bought it.

Consider them prime examples of the general Runescape public. "Oh look, you can buy 75 spins, I might as well try it just so I can see if its good or not". I'll just go ahead and estimate 100 commentators bought them. That's 2000$ in a day. And that's just 100 people. Consider if 1000 people were curious, or if multiple people bought multiple packages.

People will regret it, obviously, but that's money that Jagex pretty much scammed from you just to get a chance at shit that you might not even use. Stack this on top of the fact that they proved botters wrong in nuking bots, and you have Jagex coming out on top. Except for the fact that all they are is a bunch of money grubbing fucks.

Wouldn't go as far as to call it scamming. People know what they are getting when they pay (spins).

$3750 for a level 15 with 99 summoning would never pay itself back...but if you really want to do that than be my guest and keep feeding Jagex lol

I didn't mean it like that. I'm just saying that they've been working so much to get rid of rwt, when they are practicing it themselves. Someone even asked them about that bit and they pretty much said 'We are Jagex and the rule doesn't apply to us, but it still applies to players'.

Saying that means that we as players would still be 'vulnerable' and should be banned by just buying the spins, as we aren't Jagex and therefore we are breaking the rule. They are just being ignorant atm.

As Snow Patrol said, An account with 99 summoning etc would never pay itself off lol. Quite a stupid idea i've messed around with these spins for a while now and only ever got iron plates etc..

It goes to show that JaGex really no longer cares about the game. It is a business. They don't care about the players as Andrew Gower and the old company did... They sold it to some American company that use it for personal benefit.

I wouldn't buy this tbh, no one should, the chances of a rare are too small to be worth it

Well, I wouldn't say they condone RWT but they are however making the game much easier than it should be.

I think that it's all because of these investors, they just wanna profit.
Btw, I think F2P players have higher chances to get a rare item, because if they get a rare item, they have to turn P2P before they can claim it. Anyone else thinks the same? ;P

That's a really good point you mentioned which I didn't even think about. On my F2P account, I got a medium lamp and even for that you have to be a member in order to claim it. Your right, they will be increasing membership sales too with this spin the wheel thing, I mean it's another reason to upgrade and new F2P players probably will upgrade.
