Jobs for teens? (13-15)

This world is fucked, seriously.

Child Labor Laws suck ass.

I'm in Sacramento, California and there are no jobs for me to apply for. every job requires 16+. Why? Who knows. Us teens would work 10x harder for less money.

Discuss.

I personally want a few things, (BMX Bike, Xbox 360, Pocket Bike, ect), and due to the economy my parents can't afford it. I want a fucking job.

Whats your opinion on nobody hiring teens? do you have a job as a teen? if so, where?

 

Fuck no I would not hire them. All they do is bitch, moan and text on their fucking cell phones all day.

Go to McDonalds..here in ohio you can work there at 14.

I agree, some teens are responsible enough to work at a job. Luckily, here in Las Vegas, when your 14 you can get a job at Hot Topic, Zumiez, and Industrial. God bless skate shops disobeying rules!

A lot of states allow child labor below the age of 16, but California does suck for child labor. Same here in Florida, you can't do anything unless you're 16+, I turn 16 in 3 months though. Anyways, the only job I'm trying and able to sign up for right now is Umpire at a Optimist Baseball Park.

Honestly, teens that are willing to work are teens that wouldn't bitch and moan and text because they aren't forced to work.

It is something they volunteer themselves to do.

 

Dude, will you stop being so judgmental. Not all teens are like that. I text constantly, my last bill had 7,127 Sent Messages on it, but I would never text at work. I would only text if it was a slow day and barley anyone was there.

You just gotta wait man, I wanted a job when I was 14 but now in March i'll be 16 so I can finally have a job at the mall, its not going to be pleasant though since I will be paying for my car insurance. Do not think by having a job you can buy what you want because A. you won't get paid enough in one Summer to afford all the things you want and B. there are more important things in life that need to be handled first. A job teaches you responsibility, something I think you do not have yet. If you want those things so bad, try working on Sythe or waiting until Christmas.

Last summer I was a assistant Secretary.
Got Paid $600 every 2 Weeks.
Mostly because My mom had Connections

 

I never said they all do that. A handful of them do though.

 

fuck Sacramento, move to Los Angeles more jobs available to teens. easiest job EVER is working as a sale person in a shoe store.
