Halo 4 - Epic/Fail?

Played it quite a bit last night.

Love the game but I have a few things that I don't like.

For one, the Aasault Rifle is WAY overpowered, and secondly, I do t care for the maps. Besides that I am logo the game so far.

 

Epic, definitely. It's more like a revamped version of Halo 3. Awesome graphics, great story, and, of course, the best online multiplayer gameplay.

 

I've seen some gameplay and from what I see, it's incorporated Halo 3 + Halo Reach. It looks really good and I hope I can pick it up sometime.

 

Great game I just don't like ranking system at all.

It's pretty good so far, but it's going to take me some time to get used to playing at 30fps again (damn ancient consoles).

 

Damn how can you deal with 30fps jesus

 

It feels painfully slow after getting used to playing Tribes at 120fps. But I can deal with it. It's Halo.

 

Where'd you hear of this? Its really the only thing missing for me in the Halo series from ever since they left to make the game the absolute best to me.

I got the game and played it. I hate how there's some noobish weapons that instantly whoop your ass (e.g the grenade launcher?). I play pro now so its cool.

No. I agree, I wish they'd bring that back. It controls the crazy n00bs from chucking grenades all over the place.

 

I think it is amazing. I do want to say the things I do not like about it.

I find myself in a lot of situations where I need a grenade but do not have it to throw. In the big maps the Mech is extremely OP. I do like how weapons can damage vehicles more though. I know this might sound dumb but I think the maps are not "smooth" enough. When I am looking at someone and firing while trying to run, I hit a lot of small ridges or things the player can not step over and I get stuck. Haven, Complex, and Adrift are solid maps, but the others do not play well at all. I was trying to pick a couple of Halo 3 maps that should be in multiplayer but I ended up naming all of them....So I guess I am one of those people that believes the Halo 3 maps were the best.

I will say the spawning seems better, not as random as Reach where you spawn right in front of the enemy. And I think I can speak for everyone here but THANK GOD the maps were not all made in damn forge.

 

I like it but I agree with the above poster about assault rifles being too good. I liked the campaign and the legendary ending was awesome!!! I won't ruin it for you though. Overall I'm very satisfied with the game and I appreciate all the work that was put into it!

 

Good game but get's boring rather fast just like Reach.
Never had that problem with H3. Also the new ranking system there coming out with would've made the game better but your rank will be visible on WAYPOINT. Sucks

 

Epic, without question.

The only area it fails in with comparison to Halo 3 is the maps.

Sandtrap was an amazing map, Halo 4 maps dont seem to compare :/ Otherwise, amazing!

 

Halo 4 IMO isn't that good at all lol.
I didn't really like the campaign at all the story line was okay I guess. Most of the missions were Promethean Knights spammed in your face. Multi player is filled with noobs lol. UGH its just so annoying thinking about it.. The maps are all meant for Big Team games besides for like Haven and maybe Solace. They made it alot like COD and the weapon drops are really annoying. I loved Halo 2 and Halo 3, I also thought Reach was good compared to Halo 4 lol and I hated Reach.So all I'm doing is waiting for the new competitive ranking system to come out. If that fails I'll probably just play Halo 3 and never buy another Halo game again unless they make a Halo 2/3 remake like they did Halo 1

I'm new to the Halo series, so playing Halo 4 was my first encounter with the story. I really enjoyed the Campaign even though it wasn't that long I still liked it.
