If this friend of yours is close to you and consider him a brother, then step away from the girl. IF he is just a ordinary friend, then go for the girl.

This is just my opinion.

 

Honestly it's hard to say. As the person above me said, if he's your best friend, for sure don't let a girl get in between you guys. But if you genuinely like this girl and she genuinely likes you back, go for it.

 

Honestly she sounds like a whore, if anything hit it and quit it, and that's real advice. It's not like your friend and her were ever even dating, they just got drunk together and she wasn't interested so what does he have to be mad over? It would be different if she was your friends ex or if she was actually into him, but that's not the case.

 

Legit man I feel you. Can't say I'd mind that but according to her friends she's not that type of girl. He has no basis to be mad but he is. I know how he felt about her and I still did it but no ragrets.

Seems to me like you just met her and don't you find the whole 'perfect because I'm the male version of her" a bit strange and narcissistic. Based on how you described everything it seems like you weren't even that interested until after drinking a whole bunch as well. I think you should try and re-think it over and stay friends with your bro cause they came way before this person.

 

Yeah, but never alone. She works at a camp all week and I've been busy during the weekends.

That's deep, man. And I find it very strange, when she told me that I was genuinely confused because it seemed like it came from out of nowhere. I had some interest in her, but I was definitely trying to stay away because of my friend so I never really thought about it. And no doubt I'm gonna stay friends with the guy, I was never even considering choosing the girl over him. I only find myself in this situation because he told me he was cool with it. If anything ever happened, it would easily be him over her.

 

If you keep hooking up with the girl you will be constantly reminding your friend that she chose you over him which will make him feel inferior/jealous. He is going to hold some resentment for that.

 

On top of what others said i wanna point out that it seem's like a situational thing after all it really depends on what happens in the future how things interact and what will happen if you mix the small potions its gonna look crystal clear later man and if she really thinks your her soulmate =)

 

Interesting read - I think you should plan a 1 on 1 date/hang out event and see her intentions then. Get to know her more better, and if she is compatible than I guess go for it? BUT, make sure she isn't doing this kind of stuff on the daily with other dudes. Truth hurts, but overtime your friend will be accepting with both of you together (externally that is). As kmjt said, mentally he would probably be mildly upset. Strange that she would say she is the female version of you, not sure if drinking was involved here - but as Boney pointed out, slight narcissistic much?

yeah man this is exactly what I'm worried about. would want to see where it goes with the girl but I don't want any hard feelings between him and I.

solid plan and I'm definitely down to try. have already but she's pretty busy for the rest of the summer and so am I. I'm not sure if drinking was involved, all I know was the next morning she texted me and told me she didn't regret any of it.
