Windows 10 Megathread

Due to the fact I'm seeing threads about Win10 all over the forums, I'm creating a single megathread dedicated towards the subject. Any questions, comments, concerns, etc you may have regarding windows 10 go here.

I might upgrade tomorrow, is it a lot different than win 8.1?
Haven't seen or heard anything apart from the Xbox one game streaming

 

I'm still waiting for the option to upgrade unfortunately. Girlfriend updated her laptop earlier. Can't wait to try this out.

 

I have the update now for free option...not sure if I want to take the leap though

 

Just because it works great for some doesn't mean it will be the same for everyone. Wait a week or so, Windows 7 / 8 that you have now works perfectly fine. Nothing to lose by waiting a little.

 

I still haven't got the notification for upgrading but most of my friends are already updating lol

 

I'm actually starting to like it more and more, even though I'm having a slight problem with the drivers for my audio card.

 

I have been using it for months and I like it very much.

 

So far, the invasion of privacy issue (outlined in blupigs thread) aside, Windows 10 is still a very good OS. I'm really having mixed feelings about it.

 

Monitors are fucked up for me i got 3 monitors two connected to my GTX 660 and one with the on board intel graphics 2 hdmi and 1 dvi my dvi and hdmi with intel on board output work but the 2nd hdmi on my 660 is not giving picture to my 2nd monitor...

 

I'm thinking of upgrading next month, but I am still not sure if it's worth it.

 

And this setup used to work before?

 

So dual monitors arent functioning with Windows 10?

 

I use 3 monitors and have no issues at all with windows 10.

 

yes the setup used to work fine on windows 7 all 3 monitors were working perfectly.

 

Any idea when the free upgrades will actually be available? Mine's reserved but I don't know when that means I'll actually get it.

 

Not sure, I upgraded manually.

 

You can force upgrade it but you may be better off waiting, MS have delayed Windows 10 for some hardware as it may not run well or run into problems with it if you upgrade prematurely.

 

Never even seen anything about it. I'll have to do my research on it before I upgrade. I only just got used to Windows 8.1
