Personally I would choose windows 7. based on my own un-researched opinions to do with drivers and alike for games.

Thanks for the input I like windows 7 and think windows 8 has a lot of extra stuff added that are not necessary but didn't know if made any difference with games performance.

    windows 7 or windows 8

Windows 8 sucks as is. BUT it is proven to be faster than windows 7, and better optimized for hardware. If you buy WI does 8, install "classic shell", and you'll find that it is exactly what you remember in windows 7. You'll forget you're even using Windows 8. It can even bypass the metro screen. I'm very happy with windows 8 & classic shell. Hated it without...

Go for Windows 7, that's been out longer and is more stable and such.

Even though Windows 7 is alot more simpler. Windows 8.1 is preferred as it's the most dated OS. Aswell as most apps, games etc run better on Windows 8/8.1

Your pick though. Once you have Windows 8.1 for a while. You get used to it.

I have tried windows 7 and windows 8 and I prefer windows 7 because it's easier to use and like the design (Win7 has more performance for me)

Prefer 7 because of how much easier it is for everything basically.

I like windows 8 more, it may have strange new interface and stuff but hey stuff changes.. I mean if you don't use start, you can't almost tell difference. I have better gaming performance and stuff on windows 8 so that's one more reason I prefer it over windows 7.
