Post Count - RaSP/RaSC

Hey,

Can anyone please link me as to why we don't currently have post counts for the aforementioned sections?
I can understand that some reports would come through as invalid and maybe even abused - but this is why we have in place the 60 sec timer between reported posts? And as such, if it was a spam/troll like RaSP then you could just not archive the post therefore the individual would not gain post count?

Maybe a suggestion but would love to garner some thoughts as such.

 

afaik they had to take the RASP off of the "new posts" maybe thats why you dont get pc on that sub forum

 

Reporting posts should never give pc. The effort in that is non-existent. It would be abused regardless of the timer.

 

Doubt we'd ever see RaSP give post count, for the reason Ghast has said. Kind of odd it gives PC for the mods responding, but small details. RaSC does give pc for any who post.

His post count notably went up as well. He did a few extra spam reports, no posts, and his post count went up by a couple as well.

 

Some reports require you to post on threads.

Eg: Requested lock, watch your bumps, etc. If it gave post count, I would know. I've done over 40 with no post count addition.

Interesting, they used to. It's how many of us ex mods have such a high post count.

I wouldn't mind if the sections gave post count or not. Yes, it might cause abuse but you can always delete, warn, give an infraction, temp ban, or perm ban the rule breaking member.

There isn't an actual need for post count in those sections, so I'm neutral.

 

Side note - I think The pardon section (and I imagine the other dispute/recover subforums as well) give postcount, which isn't tconsistent with other support sections like RaSc and RaSp.
