Add other buttons on top of page

As you can see in that picture, on the top of the page on the website, we have buttons for the following: Community, Runescape (Markets), LoL & WoW (Markets), Xbox & Steam (Markets), Off Topic and then the SytheChat.

There are a total of 5 different sections that don't have a button, and can be argued just as important as the ones above. These sections are: Market Tools, Runescape (Discussions), Other Games (Discussions), Guides & Support Center and Graphics.

I don't see why those can't also be added to the top of the page. The only thing that comes to my mind that may be a bad thing when doing this is the amount of clutter. However I am sure with other people's ideas we would be able to work something out.

 

I think given that Community is at the top of the page and shouldn't really be hidden (most people expect forums to have this kind of thing at the top) and the Spam Forum is something members should stumble upon themselves and shouldn't be bragged about - those two tabs could be replaced with Market Tools & Support - which are way more useful to have there for obvious reasons.

 

I would agree with this. This brings in Market Tools & Support. However the most important things should be up there. You can argue Community is important and should be up there but like you said it isn't hidden at all, in fact it's right below the buttons. The most important things imo are all the markets, then the Support. With your idea, you brought in Market Tools & Support, but this still leaves out the Graphics Market, which has just as much of a market as the other things and would deserve to have a tab. Would it be possible to shrink each of the tabs a little bit, this way there would be enough room for another tab ~ aka Graphics?

It will be clustered. I don't even think we should have buttons over there. We can scroll down for a reason.

 

I don't see a reason not to have the button there. Imo, as it is now, it isn't clustered at all.
Yes we can scroll down, however it is just a little useful tool that we can have, especially for the sections lower down such as Guide & Support and the Xbox & Steam Market. It just saves a 1-3 seconds of time, which obviously isn't much, but it's something.
I don't see them getting rid of the buttons any time soon, so why not make them better?

Sounds like a pretty good idea, would be a bit better if you could customize it to the markets / subs you use the most.

Definitely agree with this. Would be awesome if it could be added.

 

I think we could squeeze a thing or two into the alternate navigation bar.

I'm not sure exactly what would be best at this moment, but I'm sure we could figure something out (if approved).

Without a clear idea of what to put there instead I'm going to deny this suggestion for now.
If anybody has ideas on what should be there, please do post a new suggestions thread and we'll discuss it.
