Posting anonymously to feedback section

Hey guys I'm fairly new here, and I want to provide feedback from what I've been exposed to. I know of a few other people who would provide feedback if we could do it anonymously. I may just be shy but I think that this would be a pretty easy update. I think it would make an impact on the feedback thread as it would be inviting to users to give feedback about the site or people without revealing who actually wrote it.

 

why giving feedback when you can't stand for it? no support

 

i support. you can give feedback which some think is negative than they can crtisize you or not trade with you, talk to you, bias you, give you negative feedback just over something you stood up for. so maybe posting anon for feedback would be OK. i don't know for sure

 

why would you want to critisize someony anonymously? how true would that critic be? how should someone react to that from an anonymous user?

 

That is a good point.

However, I can also understand why this would benefit Sythe. Members wouldn't be scared to suggest an idea that could have a great potential to be added.

however this can't be allowed or denied, users can make more than 1 sythe acc, it's just forbidden to interact between those 2 accs (like giving vouches), but i guess it's not against the rules to make an extra account for feedback

Some people may be scared to post something related somehow to another member even if its for the good of Sythe. Support.

 

Are you referring to feedback for staff or for regular users after trading with them?

 

If this is to anonymously provide staff/site feedback, then I don't see why not.

Feedback is feedback, if you feel threatened because somebody has a pick at you about your opinion, then why feedback in the first place?

Also it goes without saying, if you make negative feedback about a specific person or event and its appropriate and not just flaming it shouldn't be able to be locked/deleted by the member involved.

 

Alot of times negative feedback comes with repurcussions. Id provide examples but im going to abstain.

Support OP but there would have to be some sort of system to deter trolling.. otherwise people could (and would) troll without worry.

 

Way more room for abuse and trolling, then even more when such posts aren't published.

If you have a view or opinion you don't want to be named for, you can ask a friend to post for you, etc. (stating it's not their opinion if needed).

For the most part though, I wouldn't worry about leaving negative feedback; we don't bite.

I can see it being useful for staff feedback. But just a regular member's vouch thread would get spammed multiple times for reasons such as not liking the member or you thought you got the raw end of the deal on a trade.

If someone is abusing this system of giving feedback then Admins should be able to see who it is and punish them accordingly.

This has been tried before but it died out(Maybe because Sin disappeared idk). Honestly though, I don't think this is needed. Nobody should be afraid to leave feedback, whether it's good or bad.

 

Well thats awfully fucking redundant. Staff (most anyways) arent going to OK posts that show them in a negative light valid or not.

The staff aren't corrupt contrary to popular opinion. Would you prefer it to not be moderated and literally every post made by whoever wants to post something be approved instantly? There's way too much potential for abuse.

Ultimately I'm not going to support this. I think it's not really worth the time to implement and effort to approve posts. We don't bite, honest. At the end of the day I know when I was a regular user trying to give feedback on the site the only people I cared about thinking less of me due to the feedback was from moderators and we'd be able to check from the IP anyways if we were so inclined unless posted from a proxy etc.

As with roary suggested - have a friend post it on your behalf if you wish. I'd say majority of the reason feedback is closed is because it turns into a giant argument (usually because the tone of the OP is angry/derogatory). There's no need to be aggressive giving feedback, in fact it's actually detrimental to your cause. While I'd say some of the previous threads have been closed prematurely perhaps it's something we as a team can look at easing up on instead to remove some of the stigma that exists in giving feedback.
