That doesn't make sense and it'll cost money and it makes Sythe slower.

    Just use a proxy.

If it's an easy fix, then why not. But if it costs money and makes the site slower, I am going to have to pass on this one.

Maybe you're right. It looks like Sythe.org already has a valid certificate.

I know you use to be able to run Sythe with https when the site was being ddos, not sure about nowadays.

Have you tried a proxy? That's how we use to get around everything at school.

Agree on this one. It should be a easy fix and i doubt it would cost any money.

Use your phones. I mean really :p

Otherwise, if all the computers around there are linked to the same "network", you could try making yourself a new user account, with administrator status. That way, this new account would run on the computer itself, not on the network, and it might bypass any instruments of monitoring your school has.

Note that if you do get caught doing this, your school admins may become pissed at you (I would know. Though I also made two scripts that only required a click to run and made it easy for for another 100 students to do the same).

Actually, this is a very easy fix.

Just use URL rewrites to change all http requests, to https requests.

the reasoning behind this thread is completely wrong, I read that https should be used so he can access the site. Use a proxy for that if a specific address is blocked.

about https: imho if there is already a certificate it should be used for the whole site. The performance impact is negligible and the safety improvements are well worth it.

However this is made to work, I would also like to see it implemented for when I'm at work.
