Notifications.

Is there a way to have a system which notifies you when someone posts on your threads? It's such a hassle having to go to your own profile and checking to see if someone posted on your thread opposed to just having a notification.

How does this work? Is it like receiving a message except with a notification instead?

 

You can choose what type of notification you want.



If you choose no notification, you can always go click "User CP" at the top of any sythe.org page and click "Subscribed Threads"

 

I would love a Facebook style notification. Just saying.

Sweet, I implore you to vote FOR it. Its easy to loose track of everywhere you have posted. Notifications would lead to more board activity.

Reviving this thread. I wanted to make a thread similar to this but saw that it already existed. What's the status on this? A Facebook style notification would be amazing. Notifications that tell you who posted on your thread, who quotes you, and something extra which would be really nice is to see who has mentioned you. A method to mention people would be really cool such as saying "Hamouze" but then the Hamouze would link them to my profile and it would be like a Facebook style mention. If that's not possible then maybe a notification every time your username is mentioned in a post. Might be a bit of a hassle for people with common word usernames but there's not much of them.
