Verified Worker rank

Some sort of rank, probably similar to the SVU rank, that verifies a Sythe account as the worker of another Sythe account. For example, 'Verified DivicaSales Worker'.

The amount of people who can't read a thread that says 'Sythe users xxx, yyy and zzz work for me and can pm you on my behalf!' is pretty astounding, maybe an actual rank will be easier for people to trust.

As for getting/removing the rank I suppose the main Sythe account would just submit a request on a thread or pm an admin/mod.

Commence negativity.

 

It would have to be custom made for each worker of a different business though.. Too much work

I feel like if the Business owner is willing to pay a fee to have them made for the workers then why not? Then it just brings in more money for Sythe.

 

this was a problem a long time ago , i was a manager of usfine ad many times had to have a mod PM a user to confirm we are from usfine

Would it be easier to do a mini rank? Like a workers mini rank. Probably would be less work. Then when they hover over it it would be like "Divica's worker"

 

I think something like this would go best as a user title.

 

I see this as being a lot of work for the administration that really could be solved through use of the seller's website (if applicable,) the usage of user titles and proper topic layouts.

 

Unnecessary, if the owner of said business has x, x and x are my workers as their user title it defeats the purpose. Its a simple easy fix, im not sure whether you or Divica sales is the owner but the customer would see who their workers are plain as day. If people cant read that then they damn sure arent going to hover over some stupid little picture and they certainly arent going to make a special rank for you guys..

 

I assume you've got it noticeable but I would just make it in bright colors and big text right there. Mention it multiple times in the thread.

I don't think that would work because if a worker decides to scam they could continue on with this scam due to their 'worker' rank.

So basically, someone could start up a skilling/gold selling thread, hire a couple of workers, and they get free ranks?

 

if this does somehow get passed, I would say that you must require 100 vouches on one of your threads for that 'service' to get that rank. You can't just be handing out ranks to brand new sythe members making them look somewhat established.

 

Make it for $200+ Donors only? Or maybe $100.

 

I think a certain amount of vouches will be sufficient. Vouches are more legit than donation status.

 

^What about a minirank? I don't think a entire rank is necessary.

 

Not all vouches are equal - I could rack up 100 shitty vouches in one day by doing menial transactions like 07/eoc swapping, bond selling, middlemanning, etc. Having staff go through vouches would be a tremendous pain in the ass, THEN create a custom group just because someone works in association with another user? The fact that users would then be distinguished by a user group may cause people to put more trust in them then they necessarily should, hence why the only special groups of this kind are OMM and Highly Trusted, which are awarded very sparingly.

 

That's up to the customer to decide if the group is more trusted than the other competitor. Do some research and look into who's got better vouches and such.

I'm saying not anyone should be able to just get a shop going and get shop ranks. Get 100+ vouches to earn the ability to start a shop. Then it's up to the users to decide who they want to go.
