Sythe Chat!

Alright, so I'll do some suggestions on Sythe chat here for Matthew, didn't know if Richard wanted me to post it somewhere else, but here we go. Any other notable suggestions I'll throw into OP.

• Chat room list - Richard sent this to you.
  
  
• Double-Click on ones name to PM. Doesn't work unless they are on your contacts, and you're in your contacts tab. (Actually just a single click)
  
  
• Right-click on someones name to open up a list of actions (Gets rid of double click, or I guess you could have both): PM, ignore, report. (Sure there's more, can't think of anything off the top of my head)
  
  
• Make PM's be saved. (Clears when you close client)
  
  
• Fix where when creating a conference room and switch to another lobby the "change settings" tab stays. Sure it's just click on a tab and it's gone, but still annoying.
  
  
• Have the chat on the Sythe page. (Facebook chat kind of deal) - Possibly downloadable client instead (Community input desired)
  
  
• Take away the "auto-scrolling" that it had whenever a new message comes. Fixed by SuF
  
  
• Color-code/highlight names. (As your name is said, highlight/bold either; your name, senders name)
  
  
• Fix invitations for conferences.
  
  
• Conferences don't stay unless someone stays inside of it.

PM System bugs: Cannot see your own PMs.(Not sure if bug/intentional/not added) Fixed by SuF

PM's don't send if they are longer then a word/only show the first word. (Not sure) Fixed by SuF

Dicing could be added, community input desired.

The chat was made by Matthew. Also, Richard wants to get it running over time. We know that no one uses it, really.

 

It'll be used more when it's on the Sythe page and not a seperate page, IMO.

 

I still get that Authentication Error when I try to sign in, I've heard that's a problem for newer members. Also, Roary you snagged that avatar right when I was thinking about using it

 

I agree, but we need feedback over that.

I'm not sure what that's about. I'll make sure Matt looks into it, if I can.

Yeah, but people were complaining that they'd rather use a downloadable client according to Richard.

Yeah, Richard added the depressing number last night, but it's helping.

 

I don't mind those suggestions, would encourage members to use the chat.

 

Please add: not make the chat jump all the way down when someone talks and you're scrolling up trying to see past chat
