Live Stream live channels page

Basicly the idea is to add a Page that shows who all is online that are sythe members, a couple of sites already do this here is a example

Perhaps we could get something like that, maybe a link to it's own page like how the user center works, maybe have it set for quick links, or even just add it to the live stream section.

Ways it helps the streamers, is people can see whos online without having to look through the threads, and it helps sythe, because you can add tags like " Runescape, World of warcraft, Stream, Twitch" Etc etc below the list of streams, and i'm sure that would help the google rankings, heres a example when i google my twitch name



As you can see, i appear on different sites, but sythe.org isn't listed, so i think it would be a neat thing to have.


I don't know if it's possible to have this on VB or not, just a idea, if it's not possible you can go ahead and lock this.

 

My question is is there enough people streaming on sythe to warrant a page like this ?

 

Well how i do it is i search for sites to advertise my stream on, so if i do it i'm sure other do aswell, so not only is there a few streamers already here, it has the potenial to bring in new people who are looking to advertise there stream, which in turn may turn them into more community involved members.

Sure, seems like a good idea. I watch streams pretty frequently when there's not much to do so having this would be pretty neat to check out Sythe streamers.

 

Where would you like this to go?
Like a seperate page or something?
Or a sidebar on the livestream section with a little picture by it?

 

I like the idea in theory. Wish I could be part of our streaming community again. But sadly, my internet is still terrible!

This is a great idea! It will also motivate some people to start their own live stream and it will expand later.

 

Agreed this would be a good addition, same thing goes for my twitch ID when I search it. A bunch of different sites pop up, would be nice to see sythe pop up on this.

 

Would be nice to see, I live stream a lot of competitive gaming and speed runs.

Could be a good way to get viewers and also for people to see who's behind the sythe accounts

I'm on the line for support on this for a few reasons.

It's a good reason being that it would, like you said bring trafic to sythe because when people search it, it could direct them to the website to find the streams (for those who don't just go on twitch) so it would be nice for people who wouldn't be effected by the kind of "Market" sythe is.

On the otherhand, for streamers that (for as big as the runescape community is on sythe) would mostly be runescape streams, and I know that nobody would want their runescape stream in any way affiliated with sythe.org so I feel like a bulk of the "Streamers" on sythe, may be deterred from even wanting their channel put on a directory like that due to those reasons.
