2015-2016 NBA Discussion Thread

The 2014-2015 NBA season has come to an end with the golden state warriors winning the championship in a convincing 4-2 win series.

There is a lot going on in the offseason so I decided to make this thread early so we can discuss it.

 

I will start by saying that i love clippers move.Getting Stephenson i think can be a huge step towards winning it all, however if he fails to adapt,it can be disaster.Also i really hope that DJ stays with Clips.

Other team that i am rooting for is Spurs.It will be interesting to see how they respond after first round loss.

Interested to see where Lamarcus.A will go Toronto has a meeting with him and more then enough cap space but chances of that happening super low.

Lerbon obviously opted out so he can get more money and play GM for the Cav's...

Marc Gasol probably won't leave the Grizz if he does Grizz will be taking a huge step back in terms of championship hopes...

D.Jordan might leave the Clippers if he does there defense is going to take a huge hit and they won't be the power house they are right now.

K.Leonard is not leaving Spurs I see him becoming the next franchise player for them.

P.Millsap might leave Atlanta his value is high and might want to chase money.

D.Wade is looking for a 4 year deal but the Heat won't pay what he wants and any team looking to pay him a lot would be making a bad investment at this point he will only get more crappier.

Everyone else is inconclusive in my opinion.

 

Heat getting Justice Winslow is so clutch, but Dwyane Wade opting out is not

 

At this point I'm already considering Aldridge to the Spurs a done deal, and I'll be so disappointed if he goes anywhere else.

 

Hoping to see my Dubs 'peat, most likely won't happen but I have hope

 

interesting, In your opinion, how do you think Carmelo will do this season? D Jordan and Aldrige imo one of them will join the knicks

 

Carmelo is going to try to do what Lebron is doing play GM but the problem is the New York is not a hot spot at the moment Carmelo will do good he'll put up his averages but without help he can't carry like Lebron can.

Aldrige is looking for a championship and money his best decision would be Spurs if they can afford him but if they can't he will definitely move himself to an Eastern Conference team because all that stands in his way is Lebron.

D.Jordan will chase money from what I've heard he doesn't like Chris Paul a lot either they don't get along.

 

No one wants to play with melo. You can't even use him as a bargaining chip. The same with Kobe. If free agents decide to play for lakers or the knicks, it's for the money and lifestyle (living in the state).

 

The Spurs resigned Danny Green and traded away Splitter for cap space, just minutes before they walked into the meeting with Aldridge. Things are looking good

 

Free Agency has been crazy so far.

Lakers ain't getting anyone because Kobe is Kobe.

Cavs sign Tristan Thompson to a 80m 5 year max deal and Kevin Love to 110m 5 year deal. I'm not sure why they paid a bench player a max deal, but it will probably look better when the cap is raised.. Lebron still hasn't signed yet. I'm interested to see how much money he will make.

 

DeMarre Carroll signed for 60 million with Raptors good sign top notch defender good playoff experience still need a upgrade at PF though.

 

Hawks lost Demarre Carroll and might lose paul millsap as well.. doesn't look bright for the hawks after the great season they had.

 

Looks as though teams are locking players up for 4 - 5 years on decent deals so when the cap goes up those players cant get new contracts for quite some time

 

I dont think Kevin Love is worth the money that he got even though he is a great inside & out player. I like the idea of Dragic signing with the Heat as Wade looks for another team. I dislike the fact Aldridge wont come to my Lakers, BUT, if the Suns sign him that means they have a decent 3 player trio (Knight, Chandler, Alrdridge).

How financially brilliant of managers wouldn't you say? Your're getting great talent for what seems a lot at the moment but will actually be squat in a couple of years. Lol...

Wow Aldridge to the Spurs is huge

 

This is so awesome now the Spurs if they make the finals can beat the Cav's and deny Lebron another Championship with Cleveland making him 0-3 this is just to good to be true right now.
