    Just got some melatonin today,

    Taking 0.5mg to start at 10:30PM, will let you know how it goes

    Also anyone got any experience with melatonin? as I am a beginner

    Take it an hour and a half before you want to sleep. Try to take it at the same time every day or you will fuck up your sleep schedule.

    yeah been taking it 10:30pm every night so far, works really well actually :)

    0.5 mg? That's a pretty low amount tbh most people take 1, 5, 10 mg. At least it's working for you.

    Ive heard people fuck up their tolerances to it quick so its best to start low, and increase slowly if needed, which im gonna try to avoid if i can.

    you tell him to up the dosage and that it doesn't work after he clearly said it's working atm. Just because you can have more Mg's doesnt mean you always should, guessing that's the inner druggy talking. I've never used Melatonin, but I researched it and found that your body already produces it so even a small amount should be able to push you past the limit needed to help induce sleep. If you take anything to often or in to high of doses your body will see it as a regular thing and may change it's natural production, so once you stop using it could cause troubles sleeping until your body gets back to the average production.

    Like I said above I have never taken it, but like with anything you want to start low and if needed increase the dosage. That is why doctors prescribe small amounts in the beginning until your next visit where they can judge how you are doing and if an increase is required.

    If I were you I actually would get the higher Mg tablets, because often times even if it is 2-10x the dosage the price is nearly the same. That would allow you to cut them in half or even fourths and make one bottle last a long ass time. You got it right, start low and if it works for you try not to take more than you need

    It's AMAZING at the beginning, but as your tolerance goes up it'll hurt you down the long run. Be careful with it.

    damm didnt realise this thread got soo many replies, usually this section is dead as fukk.

    Yeah you are right about it being cheaper to get the higher mg tabs, these 1mg ones were pretty expensive, but I just wanted to try it, without getting pill cutters and messing around cutting more than half's, next buy ill just get the higher mg tabs if my tolerance has gone up :)

    Puritans Pirde do 1mg tabs, you can then just cut them in half for 0.5mg

    Yeah I have actually, I may just be a placebo effect (which if it is, I am honestly more than okay with) but it certainly has helped with my sleep, which in turn has helped with my training.

    I am a bit worried about this to be honest, i'll see how I go with it, and if needs be ill just stop.

    No big negative sides for me, I maybe feel a bit more groggy/dazed when I wake up.

    Being healthy beats all. Don't take pills. Most every issue can be solved by taking a few steps in the right direction. Cut out as much processed food as you can, buy some fiber/colon cleanse/etc and clean out your gut. Exercise regularly. Take pills as a last resort.

    OP, do you have Seasonal Affective disorder or are Bi-Polar? Both result in a melatonin deficiency. How come you're taking it in the first place? Also how much are you spending for how many tablets?

    Dont have any disorders...etc, just felt like trying it to improve my sleep (cant remember how much, its cheap with the dose im taking)
