    Who or what defines god?

Personally, Iv'e been through the highs and lows of my life, and personally came to the conclusion that the very god we seek, is actually us and live within us.
As a boy, I lost both of my parents to a accident on a motorway while my grandmother was looking after me, I grew up with my grandmother and she would always take me to church on sunday, I had a strong christian up bringing and although I tried to follow in the foot steps of god I found no satisfaction giving thanks to someone who I hadn't seen with my own eyes.

Carrying out research I went on to find that people like to repent before death, why might you ask, to give themselves self satisfaction I believe, and the so called people who receive these "Blessings" facing death smile as their actual mind is satisfied that they have brought peace before dying.

Moving onto another subject, I would like to also address the Bible and my thoughts on it.
I believe the bible shouldn't just be used in Christian beliefs as it was formed by many different men from many different walks of life, and these were formed many 100's of years ago, so why do we live by them today? I'm sure everyone will agree with me that the world is forever changing, and as shown by the approval of homosexual marriage within the grounds of a church. If this book is that, what we breath and live by then who are we to adjust or allow room for alteration to it? we are but mere "Men & Women".
The Bible is just a book in my opinion of norms and values of life that DO NOT and should not apply in modern day life, and should be seen as more of a history book rather than the way to live.

Back to my point about God, I strongly believe that god is us ourselves, the mind is very easily tricked and fooled, and I feel that your "prayers" are answered through persistence of believing in our mind that someone will be able to change the way something will happen by just thinking about it and talking to them. I believe that fate is something we make happen, we give ourselves the opportunity and our determination is left to ourselves.

Can you please leave some replies iv'e tried to sum up my views as small as possible as I don't want to write a book on this subject.

    Who or what defines god?

I would highly recommend watching the film "God's not dead" great film if you believe in God or even if you do not.

I've been through some things that I just cannot explain how I survived. Growing up in south side Chicago as a white male wasn't easy at all. But I found strength through God. I never really went to church that often (as I like the church system and bible are corrupt as men has tainted it over thousands of years.)

One crazy story I'll share is this one. During my grandmothers last few days alive she was paralyzed and had not moved for five days. (comma like state) it was very apparent that she was going to die soon. So I went into her room and sat down next to her and turned on the T.V. and just sat there in my thoughts. Her and I where very close and I was very scared to loose her. So I changed the channel to a news channel and it was broadcasting something about this church and it had a little short recording of the Pastor quoting apart of Psalms. My grandmother sat straight up looked at me and said "Don't be afraid child for I am not defeated, I am victorious, as the lord is my defender. "God is my defender and I shall never be defeated." <-- she literally quoted the bible." she smiled at me then laid back down. She pasted that night... scared the living hell out of me but I've lived by that quote ever since.

Some things just cannot be explained man... I explain it with the Lord.

    Who or what defines god?

I've done a lot of research on the Bible which caused me to question my faith heavily. I still believe in God, but I try to only believe what I have researched and proven myself.

I no longer believe the Bible is Gods perfect word.

I think the conclusion you reached holds a lot of water Loud Weed.

It reminded me of this video. If you watch for a moment you'll see it expresses a similar sentiment.

    Who or what defines god?

Intriguing video. The analogy used was an excellent representation of the modern perspective of our relationship with God. Unfortunately, as seems to be a re-occurring theme with strongly-opinionated Atheistic monologue, I found it rather assuming.

"An omniscient God would easily see the flaw in this plan. But God is not omniscient." (referring to the lack of direct confirmation from God)

Come on. It doesn't take much thought to see the other side of this: You are not supposed to have direct confirmation of God's existence to facilitate Faith (re: Trust, a stipulation for true belief listed in the video).

    Who or what defines god?

The Last Supper was a meal Jesus Christ shared with his apostles in Jerusalem before his crucifixion. He simply had no female apostles -- not surprising considering the time period.

    Who or what defines god?

In order to define God... You need to define man. If you cannot define man than the first question is irrelevant. How can something created understand it's Creator? From what I see from the basics reality itself doesn't exists. For example a single cell probability to exist is what? 10 to the 33777 power or something like that? When infact the probability 10 to the 50 power plus 1 is a mathematics impossibility? How is that even possible?

If we scale a cell to real life size that create protein then it would be bigger than new York city. Not only that but if you Take all the technology today and compact it to a single point we humans will still be light years away from that cells technology. We are talking about a single cell here.

My point is How do we understand something that created that? I would go on deeper but I don't care to type on my phone.

    Who or what defines god?

Excellent points. I do not believe the creation could ever fully grasp the creator. I definitely agree with the technology of cells (life) being light years ahead of us and all of our "modern" technology.

    Who or what defines god?

If it's such simple mathematics why did you not explain even one bit of it in any of your posts? I look forward to seeing your citations.

Take 10 to 50th power plus 1. The possibility of that is a mathematical impossibility. I Honestly don't see why that is difficult to understand. Like really? How is it that difficult?

Do I actually have to break down the math in Kitty form? That will Take forever, even more so if you don't know basic math and biology

Edit: sorry for my bad typing, English is not my Native.
