Why are people against marijuana still, in 2014?

What do you mean? I'm from Colorado so it's taxed differently for medical and recreational, but taxed regardless.

 

marijuana is a drug, society is just getting stupider and more and more people want to fuck themselves up with marijuana legally.

It's a gateway drug honestly. You can say its not but it is, people start somewhere and then need a new high. People that state it's not are usually people who use it all the time and are too blatantly ignorant to see the facts.

I wouldn't be against legalizing it in a few states but not the whole US. I don't wanna be smelling that skunk shit when I'm coming outside of my local grocery store.

 

Biggest gateway drug. When a joint's high doesn't quite cut it, people addicted to the high look for stronger drugs. When something is legal, more people are sure to try it. Which means more people winding up with addiction problems.

 

If marijuana never existed, prescription pain pills would be the "gateway drug".

I'm not against it or with it. Not sure why anyone should care honestly. Either you smoke it or you don't, It doesn't harm you and it shouldn't be illegal.

I don't smoke/use Marijuana for any recreational/medical use, but I do support it 100%. In Florida we failed the ballot by 2%, I don't understand why people are so against it whether they use it or not, but then they'll go to a pharmacy and pick up medication and then drive. Honestly? You're going to let someone take a few pills and then drive or worse even drink alcohol. I just don't understand the world sometimes.

 

opioids re totally okay, not like they fuck up your liver and are highly addictive or anything. But hey, lets prescribe them for every single operation, that will help.

 

If the worst thing that can be found is a "possibility of a downside", isn't that negligible compared to its medicinal uses & recreational potential? Tobacco, alcohol, and even fast food would kill a person long before anyone exhibits negative health effects from marijuana.
