Shoulld illegal immigrants be provided healthcare?

This has been an ongoing debate between my classmates and I in my government class, and personally I believe that illegal immigrants should be provided for. They generate around $652 Billion annually, and paying for their insurance would be around $300 billion each year.

Thoughts?

 

I think everyone is entitled to healthcare however this is a hard one. Wouldn't it be the tax payers basically paying for the illegal immigrants healthcare? That's my concern, not sure if the majority would be ok with that.

 

Yes technically they would be, but these same illegal immigrants pay tax money as well on the merchandise that they purchase. So in a way, the money would be circulating back around.

 

No, In my paystub I get from work there's a category that is used for healthcare (and not just the one for the old folks). Taxes from your paycheck is what's used to pay for it, so if there not being taxed in a paycheck then it;s tight on them.

We need the illegals to do the "less" desired jobs but I don't think your entitled to something your not paying for. I'm on blue cross blue shield and still have to pay in for it, but at least I know that the ones using it are paying in for it as well.

 

There are so many taxes IMO already. The last thing a lot of people would want to do is pay for illegal immigrants healthcare.

We pay for SS currently for when we are older and retired, but they are saying there is a high possibility of there not even being a SS check for our generation (1990's babies). Because when they first started SS they didn't take money from the first generation, so all the people that are paying SS now it's "suppose" to be for yourself, but in all honesty we are paying for the generation behind us.

Because illegal immigrants, not to stereotype, but they buy clothes/household items from Swap meets. I'm not certain what the standard is on running a business, like the Mexican grocery stores, but I've purchased from a few before, and I'm more than certain they do not charge tax.

Before we start giving out healthcare to illegal immigrants, the US needs to settle getting healthcare for people who are here legally first.

They started that dumb ass Obamacare shit, they're always supporting the poverty level people, and classify middle class people as being "rich". So they tax the fuck out of us, making middle class in the poverty classification.

Most middle class citizens cannot pay for the Obamacare, and they are receiving penalties at the end of the year. Every year they do not use Obamacare, there penalty heightens. Say I don't get on board with Obamacare, first year 500$, next year 1000$, year after next $2000.

All the shit that Obama is doing, is not helping anyone. Middle class people are now in poverty level, while literal poverty level people get New Schools, waterparks in the fucking ghetto, full covered medical, disability checks, unemployment, foodstamps, government provided cellphones, and if they squeeze out more children, they get more money. Also not to mention Section 8 housing (free houses/apts)

I mean, in all honesty, if you were smart, you would just:
Fuck off your job, get unemployment.
Foodstamps
Claim you have severe back pains, get disability.
Pop out 5+ children, get more cash.
Apply for Section 8 housing, your rent will be minimal (50$) to nothing.
Get your free medical care.
Enjoy your new Sixflags waterpark 2 blocks from your home.
Send your child to a elementary that looks like a college.

Immigrants, yes of course. Illegal immigrants, hell no. Start letting them have whatever they want and y'all will be swamped before you know it. There has to be standardised procedure for immigration to stop it getting out of control.

 

They just need to start getting neutered, or learn what a condom is. Because they immigrate here, and then pop out 10 babies. They now have there anchor, and food stamps.

 

They should not be provided health care. That would encourage illegals to stay "illegal".

 

I believe everyone is entitled to the benefits of a "free" country. But, I believe any governmental benefits should be heavily monitored as now-a-days they are easily manipulated.

 

Yup, that's how it is the more kids they have the more welfare/foodstamps they get and all 10 of the kids that the scumbags have are raised the same way to not work and just collect welfare for their whole life

Most immigrants that congregate in England are there legally.

 

Hell no, they already get away with not paying taxes for 7 years, get first dibs for business loans just so after the 7 years they can transfer the ownership over to a relative and avoid taxes for another 7 years.

If I have to pay $135.00 a week for insurance so should they.


Just noticed you're talking about illegals so here's my answer, they should go back to where they came illegally from and stay there.

 

Everybody should be entitled to healthcare, if they have no means of paying then surely a payment plan can be agreed on.

They aren't entitled to anything if they are an illegal immigrant.

 

If in a life threatening situation where they will die if they don't receive help - yes. But should be deported after they have been treated.

Anything else - no. They should just be deported upon knocking on the door at the hospital.

You know how many legal immigrants even come to the UK? "oh yes it is very good here we get free house and free benefits a week and we can sit in house and do nothing all day".

^ What a stereotypical judgement. Not all nations are plagued with scroungers and are like the unemployed British. Most people, for example, those from the Scandinavian region have very good work ethic and take on jobs people from the UK would turn their noses up at and are very thankful for the difference in living conditions and pay.

Letting legal immigrants in to the country is a small price to pay for EU membership and so on - it's good for our political relationship to these countries.

 

And how many UK business have foreign people working for them? Subway? Tesco? Every time I go in there are foreign people working there. Granted some British people are lazy and sit around on Job Seekers all day, but there are a lot of British people looking for jobs which are already taken up by people not from the UK.

When I went to high school I'd say over 70% of my school year was not a British ethnicity. Just about all of these people never went to lesson, their parents were on benefits and if I look at them on Facebook now, most of the girls are pregnant and some of the boys are in prison, either way they are pretty much ALL on benefits. I'm not saying X country-wise automatically makes you a benefit scrounger, but the majority are. 82% of immigrants to my country were Polish. I mean really?

I'm not really planning on voting for anyone next election, but UKIP seem to have the right idea...
