A Persons Status...People achieving more than they deserve

Just wanted to gather some other member's opinion on something I've been seeing more and more often as of late. To be completely honest with you, I've interacted with people in a variety of professions that simply do not deserve to hold their position.

Drug dealers with no customer service or mathematical skills.
Managers with no attitude control (yelling at customers in a customer service oriented position)
Someone getting promoted over a more qualified person due to race, having "friends in high places", etc
...the list goes on

I'm well aware that this is inevitable. Some people just get lucky. Some people achieve their position then start slacking off. But seriously, some of these people deserve what I would imagine to be less than baseline, instead, they boast success in their field. I really don't understand it. Mostly posting this to rant about the "unfairness" of life but does anyone have any intellectual input to add? What is up with this phenomenon?

Overachievers; respect them.

Deserving is a subjective standard. Do not hate, for these people are the messiah in the workforce.

But seriously, that's life for ya. Not really a topic we can discuss on though.

 

They're able to calculate a buy price, middle man price, and a sell price that makes a profit which takes basic math skills. There's drug addicts everywhere so of course there will be drug dealers everywhere. People who are hooked on drugs usually don't care who they buy from as long as they get it.

People who claim life is unfair and envy others because of the position they hold in my opinion are worse then people achieving what others may think they don't deserve, besides who's to decide who is deserving of a position other then the person or people who give them the position and themselves.

 

There needs to be some sort of argument or reasoned claim in your opening post.
