Congress voted on sea and air strikes but stated "no boots will be placed in Syria". I'm not entirely sure if your friend is just trying to sound like a badass or just has no idea what he's talking about.

I asked a few of my friends (active in the military) who commented: "lol, we don't sign a contract, if you're active you just get sent". They have been deployed multiple times so i feel inclined to believe them.

Regardless, if Obama decided to strike before allowing the UN to prove Syria used chemical weapons on their people, we will be at war.

If any American troops actually physically carried out an attack in assimilation with the rebels, lets just say Russia and even China would have something to say about it. Russia have advocated that if America persists on interfering, they will have something to say about it.

American satellite images have also picked up images of the Russian fleet in position to attack America, if that day were to arise.

They've been placing battleships all along the Mediterranean, preparing.

Putin did advise if the UN were to prove chemical weapons were used he would take matters into his own hands.

Hopefully they prove it before we decide to attack.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

Britain pulled out of Syria after a bill deciding so passed through congress/parliament.

That is what America should do; go through the correct political channels regarding Syria.

That could be the most ignorant thing I've seen in awhile. We should all feel responsible to do our part to help the innocents stuck in the civil war. I think the US should work with the Syrian gov, and any neighbors, to find a peaceful resolve. I doubt one can be found, but once someone launches a missle, there is no single solution.

    Ignoring the issue = no.

It isn't really as ignorant as you're exaggerating. The us interferers with any current "war" that goes on because it profits from it. Also the US shouldn't interfere in general because they have nothing to do with it.

The same shit that happened to Afghanistan is going to happen to Syria. They do nothing beneficial and just leech all of the country's resources.

Also, don't mention missiles, because last time i checked the war/fights in syria hasn't begun with these chemical attacks. You're acting as if this all started yesterday when they used bio weapons and so is the us government. So explain to me, since the US is such a piece maker then why didn't it act when the war started in march-april of 2011? They didn't because they knew they had nothing to do with the civil war.

Now, as an excuse they're thinking of invading because of these bio attacks, when in reality it's just an excuse to invade a country and profit from it.

I agree, when Obama was running for president he talked so much how he will work with Iraq and make things better. Still after 5 years things have gotten worse, kids are dying people are being killed for no apparent reason. The US will invade syria for their resources just like they did with Iraq. No peace will come from this.

To add to that, all this bullshit about them going to bomb Syria for chemical attacks,

has everybody forgotten what the fuck the us did to Vietnam? bit hypocritical if you ask me, and then state it wasn't intentional to let them away with it. only reason they weren't punished is because they spend so much money on the army and no body else's can compare to it.

As of today, Saudi Arabia has agreed to military strikes in Syria, essentially expressing the immediacy of an attack directed towards Russia - if Russia - chooses to strike the US.

Saudi Arabia isn't in the UNSC? so how does Saudi Arabia even have a say in this? also Russia has the veto, so they can't do jack shit unless they agree so.

    Foreign intervention.

It allows any nation to intervene with just cause against another country harming it's population.

They have made the decision to intervene with Russia when need be while providing the us with any resources required.

    What might that excuse be?

Syria chemically attacked their population, that is a fact. They were warned about this in the past, emphasizing the severity of actions that would take place if they were to do this, they did.

The us is not the only country upset by the decisions of the Syrian government, hence the decision by the Arab League ministers.
