Cyclic Universe Theory

Before we start with the Cyclic universe we gotta start on what the Big Crunch is And the Big Bang.

I assume you know what the Big Bang is so I skip that.

What is the Big Crunch it sounds yummy?

Big Crunch, unlike a candy bar, is one theory for the fate of the universe where the metric expansion of space eventually reverses and the universe recollapses, ultimately ending as a black hole singularity.

Universe stops expanding and starts shrinking

Now why does it make sense? Well by now most of us know how blackholes are formed from supernova's and that is pretty much the big crunch theory in a small scale a bunch of matter starts compressing into a singularity.

What would this mean? Eventually the universe will compact into a pre-Big Bang universe. It would be so dense and full of energy and what is more amazing by that is could this have already happened multiple times? If the universe did follow the big crunch then another big bang could occur so its entirely possible that we are not from the first Big Bang and this cycle has repeated multiple times. This is known as the Cyclic Universe Theory.

So while many people believing in Cyclic theory do not believe the universe needs to reach a singularity from big crunch it does not mean it does not it just is saying it is not required which also gives a little bonus to Big Crunch

I had a long part on this written but I was screwed by cloudlflare when posting on another forum so your gunna have to just read this instead.

 

So what's the point you're trying to make? That our universe is cyclical is a notion that has existed since the days of the ancient Hindus.

 

SSo waait what i got from the thread was that the universe is not going to keep expanding but at some point stop and go back? Sorry but that's what i think its about :S , and hi T v !

 

Well the big bang was when everything in the universe was compressed into a singularity we know matter cannot be created or destroyed so the energy was always there but why was it all in one location.

We still don't know what created the matter so this theory doesn't solve that what it does solve is what caused the big bang.


The Big Bang was preceded by the Big Crunch. And it is possible the universe has had multiple cycles and always will have multiple cycles.

Summary

So the universe started collapsing in on itself until it became *infinity dense (Big Crunch). Then it exploded outward (Big Bang). But what the Cyclic universe theory says is that this has already happened multiple times and will keep happening.


*Not infinite just extremely high

Yes then when it goes in it will create another Big Bang.



I believe in a creator not really in the sense of a "God" but I do believe some force created the rules of the universe.
